> Halo 4 NEEDS to have the 1-50 system and the experience points system from Reach. It has the competitive aspect as well as your actual skill. I feel like it is no fun having your rank based on how much you play because then all the bad kids think that they are good. That was the problem with Reach for me. 343 can easily keep track of boosting if it’s an issue at all. Or they can make it so one can’t even boost in the first place by making you go up only one rank on the 1-50 scale every time you win, instead of 4 or 5 ranks from boosting.

Uh… I’ve downloaded and watched all of the videos, and have read the latest bulletin, and that is the way it is. You get to rank 50 by doing good.
You get XP for doing thing’s like Headshots and Double Kills, Which Obviously, the more you get and the more skilled you are, the faster and more you rank up.
Of course some will argue it’s not like Halo 3 where you can do amazing and rank up 4 times in XP and the next game go up against Tryhards and Lose 2 Ranks, because you get -Yoink- team mates, or take a break and come back and do -Yoink- for a game. I’ve played Halo since the beginning, Only played online since Halo 3(Flame Suit on, but I think 343I has the Rank system Set.
We’ll see when the Game ships, but If it’s like some of the recent Videos I see, it’ll be fine.
They have new Audiences to Cater to, it’s not like the Competitive Days of Halo 2/3. Millions of people Play this game and only a Fraction of them are MLG and “Pro”.
Me as a Competitive Player and Clan leader, as well as a FPS Veteran since days of Doom and some of the Other Orignals, most importantly Halo, Think that it’s gonna work. That way even the Casual Player can hit max, and it doesn’t matter about rank, MLG and so called “Pro” Players don’t go by Rank. It goes by skill.
Bottom Line is I think it’ll work
