Halo 4 RANKING SYS IDEA

This is my idea for the Halo 4 ranking system. Enjoy.

So the problem everybody has with Reach’s ranking system is that it doesn’t reward the skilled players and only rewards those who play it more. My System will use Credits and EXP points.

Say you finished the Halo 4 campaign. Time for Multiplier!
You load the menu and it says you are a Recruit. You Start with 3430 Credits and 0 EXP.

Shadow Spy|Credits: 3430
Rank: Recruit
EXP: 0
EXP To Next Level: 5

Now, you start a game in Slayer.
You see a noob running into a wall, you kill him.

You killed noob111123 | +10 cR
4 kills later…
Killing Spree | +20 cR
Note: cR does not contribute to rank at all, only to Armor Customization.

You finish the match 15 and 5 with 1 killing spree. A good start.

Shadow Spy
Credits Earned: 170
Win Bonus: 1000
EXP Gained: 1

Now, you have completed your first match, you were rewarded for doing well.
When you Win, you get a bonus of 1000 Credits, witch supplements your kill score earned from slaying. You actually earned 1170, witch you can now spend on Armor customization. You also got 1 EXP points because you won. Now you are 1/5 to next rank.
If you lose, you get a 250 Participation bonus, and you don’t get any EXP.

Say a guy on the losing team went 10 and 7.

noob111123
Credits Earned: 100
Participation: 250
EXP: None

Loser got 350 Credits and NO EXP because he lost. He feels bad and wants to try harder to win next game. But he still feels motivated because he got some credits to buy a new helmet attachment.

In the loser’s game, a guy quit,
quitter1337
Credits Earned: NONE
EXP Gained: -1 EXP

People who leave don’t get any credits and they get -1 EXP

This mechanic would make other players want to get better so that they can get EXP to rank up and more Credits to spend on Armor.

As you can see, those who are Skilled or use teamwork will be rewarded with EXP and Credits.

Those who lose do not gain EXP but gain a hopeful amount of Credits which encourages them to try harder and get better.

Now back to the game.

5 games later with 4 wins…

Shadow Spy
Credits Earned: 220
Win Bonus: 1000
EXP Gained: 1

PROMOTED: Private Third Class
BONUS CREDITS: 1000

Player has now ranked up and has way more credits to spend on Armor.
Now that he has seen what winning can do for him, he trys to improve his already semi-skilled self by trying harder every time.

noob111123 has learned from his mistakes and has one the last five games.
He is now promoted to Private Third Class and received the bonus credits for ranking up he feels so good about himself improving, he sets off on another adventure to rank up. To get to the next level, he needs to get 5 more EXP.

I hope you can see how this would make the game Casually Competitive, and it would people to get better and rank up.

CREDITS DO NOT ASSIST RANKING AT ALL.

Another note, in Campaign, EXP Will only be Earned when you complete the Campaign on Different Difficulties.
Campaign kills would only be worth…
EASY: 1 cR
Normal: 2 cR
Heroic: 3 cR
Legendary: 5 cR

Campaign Completion would be worth…
Easy Campaign Complete: 5 EXP
Normal Campaign Complete: 10 EXP
Heroic Campaign Complete: 15 EXP
Legendary Complete: 20 EXP

SOLO Easy: 10 EXP
SOLO Normal: 20 EXP
SOLO Heroic: 30 EXP
SOLO LEGENDARY: 40 EXP

Note: You cannot get more EXP By completing it multiple times. The first time you beat it, that’s the amount you get and you can’t get anymore.

Note: If you have completed COOP on Legendary and you hadn’t completed it on any other difficulty, you had gained a total of 55 EXP from that, you can’t go back and get the lower difficulty EXP because it was added to your Legendary EXP when you completed it.

I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS THREAD!

As long as rank doesnt affect what you can buy in the armory im all for this.

say

XPLS x Shin x
Lieutenant
cR: 120,000
but the armor i want is lock until im a brigadier.

everything should be able to be bought with out a rank restriction.

But besides that i like the way you think.

maybe tweak it to where you get credits for doing objectives. and if you do win, if you did decent in a match you get bonus XP and cR.

I like this idea, and hope it’s either like this or just like Halo 3.

If there is no system to subtract EXP points then everyone will eventually be the highest rank.

Perhaps everyone on the losing team will lose an EXP point except for the losing team’s MVP. The MVP would not gain nor lose a point.

Certain armor should have prerequisites, like 100 flag caps, along with credit cost to purchase, like vidmasters.

Certain armor should reward players who have played past Halo games, like waypoint armor.

I understand, on Reach, I wanted the Mark V so bad and I finally got it when I reached Lt. Colonel.

The PreRecs. for armor should NOT be Rank based. it should only be credit based and maybe simple tasks. and not exorbitant amounts of credits either. whats the harm in everyone having all of the armor?

isnt that what everyone wants, customization?

and as for the exp system just modify Halo 3’s.

No offense but to be able to complete campaign multiple times and still get exp for it adds to the replayability of the campaign itself and thus benefits it. Plus not everyone who plays Halo has xbox live and therefore has the ability to play matchmaking. Not every country has cheap and fast internet unlike America. Me, I’m in the military (Australian Army is cheap) and they won’t supply me with a stable internet connection and I can’t get it done on a military base. The only reason I’ve got internet now is because I’m on holidays using my family’s internet.

Reach wasn’t the best game but at least I still get rewarded for playing its campaign time and time again. Surely there is nothing wrong with that. Because otherwise without live I wouldn’t be able to unlock a vast majority of the armoury. And if you spend a $120 Australian on a game you shouldn’t need to pay for an xbox live membership and then internet to enjoy everything you already payed for (the armoury, customisation).

I don’t think you read very well, because YOU CAN’T COMPLETE IT MULTIPLE TIMES TO GET MORE EXP! ALSO, DON’T GET EXP MIXED UP WITH CREDITS!

YOU CAN STILL GET CREDITS BY KILLING AND COMPLETING MISSIONS!

He was giving reasons why he thinks YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO COMPLETE MULTIPLE TIMES TO GET MORE EXP!

Then, he could just complete it on Normal 50 DAMN TIMES AND BE A BRIGADIER!
The system would be broken. Sorry but your gonna gave to play Xbox Live to rank up, thats the way it is. We can’t just cater to offliners. I mean, If you are offline you can complete it multiple times but once you authenticate by joining live, you would lose all that armor and EXP and Credits.

cR + High Skill (in combination with ExP)

Okay, so I misinterpreted the last bit.

I thought he meant something different. My apologies.

Right, so they can’t cater to offliners but can cater everything, including all armour prerequisites to onliners. What happened to the days of catering to both. I don’t choose to not have xbox live. It’s a job limitation. Heck half my mates play Halo but have the same problem I do. It’s alright though because you don’t have that problem and thus it doesn’t effect you…

Obviously Halo should be only online and an only MP game because only people who play online have SKILL.

And I may play normal once to get the lay of the hidden weapons etc down pat but for the rest of the time I play on the harder difficulty settings. It’s more fun that way. I would not play it 50 times on normal. And if someone did then they bloody deserve something for it because that is Halo passion right there.

Double ExP:
Weekly playlist
Grifball
Threeball
Infection
Fiesta
Etc.

Also daily/weekly challenges could offer exp and cR
