Hey,
I am about to reach rank 130 pretty soon, and I am wondering why it will only take me less than a year to reach the top rank. In Halo Reach, which I’ve had for more than 2 years, I am still a Field Marshal, and have a lot more to go. Why did 343 industries choose to end it at 130, and will there be more ranks added to the game later?
Part of the excitement of doing well in games and racking up the multikills was because of how points it would get me afterwards, but if there is nothing to gain anymore, it is a little less exciting…
Any thoughts?

yeah, I climbed the ranks pretty quickly in Halo 4.
I think I hit Eclipse in Reach by the time Halo 4 came around (2 year and still didn’t get to the end!)
New ranks past 130 would interesting.
It would certainly have me playing more often than I do now.
Maybe add another ten ranks displayed as actual ranks or title such as in Reach.
And make it a tad bit more difficult to achieve (akin to the amount of xp required between Inheritor and Reclaimer in Reach).
Personally I think 343 was just testing the water.
A lot of people thought that Reach’s Ranks were too long and drawn out, so 343 decided to make Halo 4’s somewhat shorter and more achievable.
If they could add ranks that would be nice, I’m at 121 now but I’d like to hit 130 before they increase them.
I think Halo 5 will be a mix of Halo 4 and Reach, that’s if they keep the progression system.
Progression system is always a good system. It has been in place since halo 3s days and it should stay but it needs to stay along side a actually ranked system.
Halo 3 had it right for the most part
With the Double XP opportunities early on and the Section 3 Ops completed Glyphs giving large amounts of XP, I’m surprised there aren’t a lot more SR130s out there.
Side note: I still jump on to Reach to complete daily and weekly Challenges and I’m only an Eclipse. Still a long way to go.
