Hell no. This is the best map in the dam game.

Well said. Plus I’ve played it enough in Halo 3 (and personally never liked it).
Its a great map for people who like vehicle combat. Most of the other maps have very narrow, predictable paths for the vehicles and makes them somewhat under powered. Ragnarok is the only map that allows vehicles to freely roam.

and for people who don’t it is awful, plus I played it soooo much on halo 3 and everytime I big team slayer it gets voted for. I just want a change PLEASE! if only for a little bit. 
Also I feel a bit ripped off that they couldn’t make a new map for halo 4. i mean apart from the mantis it is exactly the same!

?? This is the single most balanced Vehicle/Foot Soldier map there is.
If your getting owned by vehicles your need to improve your strategy/skill. Laser and Rockets…'nuff said. I never (well almost never) use vehicles. Support your teammates who do drive and you’ll have epic ‘tug of war’ matches on this map.
This sounds harsh, but if your always getting destroyed by vehicles or teamshoted by foot soldier teams…you do not know how to play this map.
Which is fine, but don’t you dare go ‘whining’ to the forums trying to get a great thing changed just because YOU can’t figure out how to play one of the great maps.
Ragnarok is Halo 4’s Blood Gulch, heck it’s based on the same formula only with some rocks, hills and a river in the middle.

uhh can you elaborate on these problems? what’s wrong with the mantis?
players that don’t want to leave the base because of their k/d is not a map problem, you’re playing with idiot players. I do not observe this problem, ever.
Hell No!! Ragnarok is the best map ever!!! It is in fact most classic, instant fun, vehicle friendly and balanced map ever
In all seriousness, I love Ragnarok but I haven’t even seen Vortex at all yet.

The map is good, but just like Haven there needs to be some gameplay on other maps too. Maybe make it recur less often in the playlist vote, idk.
I agree the Mantis is annoying, but easily countered by positioning yourself right (I like to stay by the creek, I can always use the rocks as cover from a Mantis and flank around) or just blowing some ammo on it. If you can plant a nade on it, thats fantastic, but if you can’t get behind it then just shoot it with a power weapon or plasma pistol. Convince teammates to focus fire on it too. Not too huge of an issue.
I’m getting tired of this map being voted for every time it comes up.
I enjoy the map for the most part, but I agree that it’s overplayed; I don’t think I’ve witnessed it get out-voted all week. It’s a good map, but jeeze, I don’t think I’ve even played Vortex yet in 150+ games. I’ve played Meltdown like twice and Longbow 4-5 times.
Also, on Ragnarok, you’re pretty much screwed if you get a bad team or a team that won’t advance. If they enemy retains most of the power weapons, vehicles, and gains control of the main hill in the center of the map, plan to be rizzaped for the duration of the game because you won’t spawn out of your base and your teammates are too much of a bunch of pansies to ever advance up the map
Wouldn’t mind the map if Snipers weren’t so common. There’s usually about 8 different sniper weapons in play throughout a single game.

Yes I hate the vehicle set one this map only one warthog? Wtf? And the mantis is absolutely horrible.
ill agree it is voted very often but thats the players not the maps fault
ther can be to many power weapons laying around but tht cause of ordernce drops not the maps fault
mantis… could do with a tweak like allowing ya to board from the front aswel as just the rear i swear i was able to charge at the mantis 4 times to try and board it bu cause he was spinning around to always face me =/
if i can get tht close and the mantis doesnt stomp me it deserves to be boarded
the map has always been 1 of the best and the spirt of the map has been in every halo game from blood gulch to now in 1 form or another
Loved he map in halo 3 now I hate it in halo 4
Though on a side note it’s nice to see a green looking map after all the metal looking crap, love Exile ATM
