Like in halo 3, if your shields are about half way or so and you punch someone they die.
In reach it’s a two punch kill even if there’s a little bit of shield left.
My question is will the punching be like 3’s or reach’s. In my opinion, I didn’t like the way 3’s punching damage was set up.
If you know the answer to this question, please reply, thanks!

Halo 3 and Reach have completely different systems. In Halo 3 there was bleedthrough. Let’s say you have 30hp and 50shields. A punch delivers 50dmg. The Shield has to drop below 20% to kill the player. If the shields are above 20%, the punch delivers 50dmg and the player has above 1% of health and will live.
In Reach, even if you had 1% of shield…the shield will take the punch and just drop, without hurting the health.
In halo 4, according to videos, there is the same system like in Halo 3. I don’t know how strog the punches are or how much health you have. But the sysem is Halo 3 style and that makes me extremley happy.
definitely not like reach, bleed-through is back. i’ve seen a couple videos in which someone is beat down even with some damaged shields. pretty sure it was confirmed a while back by someone at 343i too.
