Halo 4, months away has tons of preorders already in the USA alone. I can predict 2 million by the time it releases.
…Most games a year well before its’ release don’t have many preorders until the final few months.
As for Halo 4, it’s highly anticipated. Look at Mass Effect 3 for an example, it’s got about 3 months until it’s released, and with just over 300,000 preorders, Halo 4 is moving at a faster rate than ME3 did when it was a year before its’ release.
> I wouldn’t call that “Exploding” in preorder sales, but it’s doing decent.
Considering that the game is a year away, I’d call it “Exploding”. Once the different editions of the game are announced and we get closer to launch, that will be when most people go and pre-order.

Actually most games a year well before its’ release don’t have many preorders until the final few months.

Yeah, it really is exploding. Also, I saw it one or two months ago too, but on a different site. I believe it was a bit higher then. Is this site accurate? P.s: We almost don’t know anything, at 150.000+ people trust 343 already and pre-order it. That’s impressive.

> After the disappointment that was the Reach one? No thanks, that taught me that standard edition is always the way forward now…
That was with bungie. You should give 343 a chance.

Actually, Mass Effect 3 has around 483,000 pre-orders. You have to look at all the platforms.
I, myself, am waiting for the announcement of a Collector’s Edition or Legendary Edition or something else. If I feel that it will be a good value for the more expensive one, then I will get it. Either way, I will be pre-ordering Halo 4. I am just going to wait until they make more announcements about the different editions.
There would be a lot more pre-orders if some details were released of the game, if people get the right information like, they detail a few of features that the community have been requesting such as having 1-50 ranks back then people are gonna start to get all hyped up and pre-order it as they think about what it was like back in the first 3 games and nostalgia everywhere. Some TV advertisement like Halo 3 had would really help as well to spread awareness.
> Halo Reach had 14K the January of 2010.
> Halo Reach did not reach 144k preorders until May of 2010.
>
> Reach came out September of 2010.
> Most people are expecting a November release for Halo 4.
>
> Reach hit 144k 4 months before release.
> Halo 4 hit 144k 11 months before release.
>
> Halo 4 is on really good pace
