The idea is simple. 343 could do the same thing that was done with Battlefield 3, which is release an edition of Halo 4 in the future that includes all downloadable content. What do you guys think?
It is a good idea I just know that I am going to spend a lot of money on this halo stuff now. And it is going to suck when there is one thing that I want that will be only in the premium edition… I want the premium edition as soon as the game releases and only worry about buying map packs later…

No. 343i specifically stated they only wanted one special edition to make it easier to decide what copy to buy.
I would not, because I pre-ordered the limited edition and with that you get all future DLC for free, I think it was 3 DLC packs planned.
I would pay for something like Bungie Pro though, be able to render my saved films and post them on youtube or something.

It was my idea too, but Halo is never generous by nature.
And must say that it works worse than Battlefield 3.

Well, they’ve already said that the Limited Edition will be the only special edition of Halo 4.

Limited Edition comes with a “pass” which will let you download the first 3 map packs for Free, plus it comes with other goodies, so it basically is Premium.
BF3 Premium doesn’t give you the game…
it just gives you DLC 2 weeks early for free and weapon skins. Thats about it.
In Halo 4, you can already get different skins. Exclusive ones are for Pre-orders. The LE has all the DLC for free.
So, BF3 Premium is already IN Halo - Except you don’t buy it as 1 package, it is limited, and you need to pre-order stuff sometimes.

Well as it stands, the Limited Edition covers 3 Map Packs in the not so distant future, but that obviously wouldn’t account for the other Spartan Ops Seasons that will follow, as well as the possibility of additional Map Packs…
So the idea of an "Ultimate Edition" being released somewhere down the line isn’t a terrible idea, but if I’m going to be buying all of the stuff as it’s released, naturally spending more money than I would should I have waited for this hypothetical Edition, then I’m naturally infinitely against it…
So no, Xbox Live Sales screw me over enough halving the price of DLC I paid full bloody price for, I don’t want someone picking up the game and every drop of DLC a year later for half the sodding price…

Yes I agree, but not all downloadable content would not be correct.
It should come out AFTER the DLC comes out (Like a proper GotY Edition). BF3’s Premium edition got flamed for forcing people who already own the game to buy the game if they wanted everything rather than having to wait months.
And not to mention, Premium is Dice’s answer to CoD’s ELITE premium membership…and when all this goes full circle, people will start arguing that Halo is copying CoD…again.

assuming they come out with more dlc than what will be in the LE which right now is only armor skins in the distant future, so a few skins that you will have gotten through preorder already isnt enough to call for another edition and arent copys with all dlc game of the year editions? i dont see this happening
