Its it possible to purchase (at a reasonable price) the armour made available by several retails as a preorder bonus?

Ebay is probably best if you want individual armours (be prepared to pay a high price for some of the rarer ones), but beware of people who are still trying to sell the Specialisation codes. These codes are pointless now and I don’t know if the sellers are unaware that they are useless now or if they are simply trying to make money off of the ill-informed.
The only other way I know to get the pre order armours is via the GotY edition of Halo 4, since this includes all DLC except Fotus armour.

All DLC? Does that include the McFarlane toy DLC armour?

From what I understand, Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition has all DLC armor and weapon skins, with the exception of FOTUS and the McFarlane Toys Series 2 codes (As they came out after GOTY). I don’t own Game of the Year edition, but for the sake of digital photography, I did purchase individual codes on eBay (It helped with my eBay rating too) . I was fortunate enough to have a Halo 4 360 gifted to me as a late birthday gift, so I didn’t have to buy the FOTUS Armor and Lightrifle IMP code thank god.
Unfortunately, when Lizard Squad did their attacks, they some how permaglitched that 360 offline. It will recognize the harddrive in all aspects except when doing an update and pops an error 045D, and because the system is not upto date and can’t download the update, its offline for good. The USB method doesn’t even work. Well, there I go rambling again, the console thing is my own problem though. But I hope that answers your question.
Look on eBay if you want Halo 4 DLC’s. There’s plenty of them there.
Also, like some others said, the Game of the Year Edition has quite a few of the non-McFarlane DLC’s.
