Hey all, I was curious about the “leftover” pre-order codes that retailers like Best Buy and Gamestop have. I picked up a card that described the bonus from Best Buy and it said the deadline for pre-ordering was 11/3/12 or yesterday. I wanted to know if you could ask up front if you can just purchase the pre-order bonus. I don’t see why not. They probably have a bunch of leftover codes and plastic cards that give the codes. I am probably going to go in today and see if you can. I mean if they get some money off of them, they would probably sell them seperately. Let me know what you guys think! (:
I’ve seen GAME SPAIN giving left-overs for free with the first no-pre-ordered copies sold during the first day or so… but don’t know.
To be honest if you were to just buy something you could ask for one, or you could just ask anyway, they don’t come up on the till as anything at all so it’s not like stock is missing, it’s more like they are handing you a leaflet promoting the game.
That’s what I was generally thinking. It’s pointless to throw so many unused ones out. They be better off charging a small fee or giving them out for free.
