Halo 4 population <100k

3rd day running.

http://halocharts.com/2012/chart/dailypeakpopulation/all

A bit disheartening but I still have no problem finding a match.

mw3 population is bigger than halo 4 population

And Crimson playlist 3rd from bottom.

I find matchmaking takes alot longer now, and i’m in the UK getting matched to US players.

Well being the week before the holidays I imagine that there is quite a lot of players away on vacation, visiting family, getting ready for there holiday etc, etc.

Or at home off work, kept indoors by the poor weather.

Reasoning can go both ways. Looking at the graph its a steady decline.

Let it be 343’s problem

I’m not denying that the population graph looks like a Ski hill, I’m just saying that I’m sure there is a good portion of unaccounted players away for the holidays.

Point taken.

See if xmas presents cause an influx of new players… and how quickly it drops off again.

I do know a rather large amount of gamers who were waiting until Christmas to get their copies. It will undoubtedly rise substantially at that time.

It will rise again for sure, but for a week at most. Numbers will be scary again in no time.

< 100K means over 100,000

> 100K means under 100,000

Sorry, it’s a pet peeve.

100k is greater than sign the current population. Dont see any error in title.

< Finds match

doesn’t care

its the second most played xbl game right now under blops, and theres no way in hell halo will be more popular than cod.

I don’t see a problem. The whole reason the CoD series was ruined was because the community became too huge, after MW2 came out it was riddled with little kids, hackers, and just really annoying people. Games with smaller communities are better.

fix’t, also fix’t the only error in the thread title.

This time next week there will be well over 100k on Halo.

Factor in that not all Halo gamers are 15 years old or younger, they may be out shopping and getting ready for other holiday things.

The holiday presents from this time next week will boost the population a good bit. And I am not sure how the recent events in the news and the shadow it cast on Call of Duty may really have parents contemplating if they will give Call of Duty as a gift this year.

It will be interesting to see what Halo is doing next week but the real test will be what it is lets say Jan 15th. See if the novelty wore off at all.

I 100% guarentee that the population will be >100k (see what I did there needscrack) but like you say once the novelty wears off…

We’ll definatly see a spike in the graph come christmas morning, I’ll be the same ski slope after though.

The OP has no context. It is not a measure of how good the game is doing relative to previous Halos or any other game. The Halocharts values do not include the total players online which includes campaign, Spartan Ops, custom games, theatre, Forge or idling. The Halocharts values give accurate measure of what is happening in the current playlists but that is all. It is not a comparison with any other game and by itself cannot be used to say whether Halo 4 is doing well or not.
