Halo 4 Playlists not completing

Hi,

I was trying to get a couple final Halo 4 achievements, the ones for playing Halo 4 playlists. I played “The Covenant Threat” and not only did the Achievement not pop, but it doesn’t show that I completed any of the maps. I also played the Tight Corridors one all the way through, and the same thing happened. The game isn’t showing that I complete any of the Playlist maps.

What’s also weird is that some of the maps don’t start at the beginning of them. I don’t know if that’s by design or not, but something isn’t working right.

Has anyone encountered this and have any ideas on how to resolve?

Thanks

I am encountering the same issue. The last few days I’ve tried “The Covenant Threat,” and it wouldn’t pop - so today I tried “Canyon Combat” instead and it also would not pop. I did notice Composer is in both, but a longer version of Composer is in Canyon Combat than in The Covenant Threat.

I have no idea how to resolve this.

Are you playing split screen? I had this issue with split screen. Solo no issue.

Not me, I was playing solo.

I’ve been having the same issue but with H3 instead of 4. Finish the playlist and the achievement doesnt pop. I look at the playlist progress and it still says 0/3. So I tried finishing the first level of a playlist and quitting out and it still isn’t recording progress. I really hope this bug gets fixed in the update.

Yea my attempts were solo attempts at first, but in case my end as host was messed up, I tried it earlier this week with a couple of friends, and I had them lead. Same result, it didn’t show my as completing a single map even though we completed the playlist.

I did log a Halo support ticket on the issue, and they said they are looking into it…but nothing back yet.

What is weird is that it isn’t just the maps not showing complete, and not getting credit for completing the playlists, but with most of those maps, we don’t start at the very beginning, rather it picks us up partway through them all. I don’t know if that’s intentional, or if that’s the bug causing the problem since we aren’t playing the maps in full.

This is EXACTLY what is happening to me with the halo 4 playlists to the detail.

Same issue here and I’ve only experienced this with the Halo 4 playlist. I just finished the two Halo 3 playlist achievements just fine last night. Definitely bugged.

Having these same issues exactly as described by OP. No progress saved in Halo 4 playlists only, missions start midway etc.

No idea how long this has been broken but I noticed this issue a few months ago after returning to MCC last year when I found this still on my Xbox hard drive to knock out achievements and working through games 1-4 roughly in line with the matching seasonal updates. Possibly started after Season 4/ Reclaimer update?

Extra thing to add: in the game menu/ lobby it states I have completed 0/8 playlists for Halo 4. But according to my service record here on Halo waypoint I completed 1 playlist in 2017 and have the corresponding achievement AND 33% progress to the 3 playlist achievement. You what?

This is a late follow-up, but I did receive some back-and-forth communication from Halo support. At one point they told me that a new release would fix it…but it didn’t. I had exactly the same issue.

Additionally, I set things up on a new Xbox Series X and still had the same problem (but i guess that makes sense since things get synced via gamertag).

So…still an issue.

I’ve had this issue forever…ugh

So I finally got a H4 (LASO) playlist to save after completing a mission; follow this guide: Halo: The Master Chief Collection - 100% Working solution for achievements stuck at "Done. Unlocking"

It’ll show you how to erase your saved MCC file(s) on your xbox and once you do that, the game will save your H4 LASO progress. I haven’t tried it out on other H4 playlists yet, but I’m just thrilled to get this working for once.

Pew, you’re a godsend.

You’re welcome! I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for a fix to this bug and I’m hoping this helps everyone who’ve had this issue. I just finished H4 LASO and that unlocked the Naked Tyrant & Chest Full of Gold achievement so that confirms this is a true fix. I also just finished one of the 3 mission playlists (Tight Corridors) and that too, saved and logged as 3/3 Complete after I finished it. Odd thing is that the levels don’t start from the beginning which I’ve always thought was a bug, but apparently that’s the feature. Going to finish one more 3 mission playlist (probably The Covenant Threat) to finally unlock the Devotee achievement and then I’m dun-zo with Halo 4 thank god.
