I would lean towards calling this REACH slayer but I know everyone likes to embrace the new here so, Classic works for me here.
The name of the game: No custom loadouts, no ord. drops. Static weapon spawns.
Another idea I have is limiting the ord. drops to the ‘mid killer’ weapons and leaving the big ones on the map so they can only appear once or twice a match.
I recently got off of playing 3 games in Reach and didn’t realize how nice it was to have a few seconds to think and walk around without worrying about someone with a power weapon.
Infinity slayer is all good for newcomers to Halo 4. It’s been great thus far but now it’s just a big ‘FIESTA’ playlist. You never know if you are going to get stuck with a speed boost or get a nice overpowered binary. Sort of how Fiesta screwed people with a plasma pistol when others got a sniper.
I think the playlist needs a test run for at least a week. Even if it isn’t just slayer gametypes and you just mash objectives into it as well, same rules applying of course. (Although I know that means more forge setup time and testing for a team already hard at work on Halo 5).
My skill is better in Halo 4 thus far and I still enjoy the harder playstyle of the older Halo games.
Please 343 someone hear me. I like this game, just balance it a bit better.

I’ve created this for Custom games. Only built Ragnarok with set weapon spawns. You cannot remove instant respawn. And sprint is not removable. Even if it was, the maps are too big. Ragnarok is like 2X the size of Valhalla.
I’d love a game that didn’t give you points for assists. Or even moreso where the winner/winning team wins from kills instead of points. 50 kills to win a game of team slayer.

No it’s not, the size of the map is actually the same.

I’d much rather prefer BR and AR starts than AR and Pistol. It just creates more balance overall, by making sure that players that just spawned have a fighting chance at midrange. If you want utility weapon pickups on the map, let them be the two more powerful starting rifles: the DMR and Light Rifle.

I think the main reason for no static weapon spawns, is the same for why weapons despawn so quickly. Framerate/lag issues.
If the game engine has issues keeping dropped weapons around, having those PLUS static weapons spawning…it might crash.
As for not having sprint or instant respawn, 343 could do this no problem…especially since some gametypes don’t have instant respawn anyway. They might even be working on adding it to customs, things just take time and testing.
and KrazyDan26…slayer still goes by kills. It is just 60 instead of 50. The points you get for assists and so on don’t count towards the game score. Not sure why we get those points, but they don’t affect the outcome of the game.

The points are there to make the game more CoD like. And nothing more.
I had 765 points on a game of CTF today. Hooray (sarcasm)
I love fiesta. Agreed though. Definitely needs to be an option to play classic versions of current playlists. Things like “CTF Heavies” and “BTB Heavies” can’t exist. These gametypes are quite barebones. Go into CTF, there’s just that, no variation. Go into slayer, better get used to the same slayer variant.

Completely incorrect. Start up Valhalla on one Xbox then Ragnarok on another.
It is damn near impossible to put things n the proper places because of how much larger Ragnarok is.
