Halo 4 perma-banning sexists...

Interesting, but I could see this being abused very easily.

It is nice and all but I don’t see how this can be enforced, it is too easy to lie and get people banned. I am not supporting people who act like jerks but that is the internet.

so if i tell a female opponent to get back in the kitchen! lifetime ban? wow…just wow

> so if i tell a female opponent to get back in the kitchen! lifetime ban? wow…just wow

Well I also think that if a female player says anything bad about men she should be banned. But I doubt that will happen, it could end up being female gamers reporting male players and them winning all the time.

These kinds of things are witch hunts.

Ahh. Maybe Finally I can enjoy playing halo and play in lobbies with female gamers without dealing with “GOH MAEK A SANDWICH, -Yoink-”. Whenever possible I try to play like a gentleman. That is, unless Im egged on.

I agree, I can’t see how this will work out well unless they review every single case.

The same argument could be made for banning people for racism. I don’t think anyone’s going to argue that racism shouldn’t be a bannable offence, however.

Hmm interesting, mind your manners people…

Someone’s paranoid. Honestly those people can always be muted, and the fact that they support tea-bagging seems pretty hypocritical… Will they do the same for racism? Religion? Age? If not, seems even more hypocritical…

Live is a cess pool to begin with. I never talk to randoms. If I do play solo, I will have my headset on just to see if anyone cool is on and also talking in game. But it’s a rare occurrence.

Lifetime bans are not just a willy-nilly thing. If someone is reported for sexism, good measures should be taken to collect evidence of this. If reports of sexism are accepted on spot without verification of said acts that would be pretty bad. I’m sure 343 knows that they can’t trust honor holding anyone back from misusing it.

I am not paranoid, I don’t harass people on xbox live. These people should face consequences but I fear people can be easily banned for people reporting it with little to no evidence.

As for tea-bagging I’m guessing it’s received as long running funny thing(though some people seem to take it seriously). As for religion, racism, et cetera it falls under the “discriminatory” umbrella that goes along with the sexism thing.

343i = White Knights.

How are they going to control this? Honestly, don’t they have better things to be doing with the game?

The problem is unless you get a lot of messages, how do you really know that person said hateful things?

I could easily get 20+ people to report a random person for something.

People have flagged me for using “profanity” when I have never once cussed on xbox live.

Exactly we don’t want the “jerks”(thats what I’m generalizing them under) abusing somthing that was made to keep them down in the first place.

I just saw this over on b.net and I have to say, it seems extremely silly.

We have the ability to mute individual players, the ability to mute all opposing players, the ability to mute everyone but yourself, and the ability to limit all communication over XBL to your friends list, as well as to disable it completely. People have plenty of ways to avoid sexism or any other form of online discrimination.

IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME! -Yoinking!- gammers being -Yoinks!- to us girls. It’s about time we girl gammers get respect! YOU TELL EM BS ANGEL! shakes fist Gender confusion my -Yoink-…

FEMINISM!!! RAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I hope female gamers get banned who make harassing/abusive comments.

But I don’t think any race or -Yoink!- should get any “special treatment”, we are all equal gamers.
