Halo 4 Pay to Win

This isn’t a hyperbole… that has got to be the worst idea that has been given serious consideration in the franchise. If 343 had respect for the players, instead of just trying to get as many people as possible to cash in on Collector’s Editions to get a multiplayer edge, whoever came up with that idea would be unemployed right now.

Level grinding for abilities doesn’t really belong in Halo 4 but I think some people were willing to accept it… but when you set things up to where a player can pay to get some abilities that other players don’t have, that’s where you crossed the line.

I’ll probably eventually try the game, but I’m likely to stick to playing XCOM and not get Halo 4 as a day one purchase.

Your exactly right, i’m getting limited edition and i think it’s unfair.

This is not news, they are just trying to make as much money as possible from kids.

It lacks diversity and sport.

No one specialization should be more advantageous than the others, so chill out.

Your aware LE owners just get them early right ?

Ok people, get your facts straight. Everyone has access to all 8 specializations. If you buy the regular edition, you get the choice of 1 out of 2 out of the box, and have to earn the other 6 by ranking up and such. If you buy the LE, you get all 8 right away. Either way, you can only have one at a time, and you still have to rank up each one separately.

Ah damn it, I should have read it better-the irony of my last post. D:

Man that is unfair.

EDIT: YOINK! I keep messing my posts up!!!

I can’t think straight! D:

Some people don’t know how or the ability to read. Thank You posting this

Bungie probably would never have stood for these kind of tactics.

Once they were out the door, Microsoft couldn’t wait. Say what you will about Bungie, but they had the integrity to stand out from the crowd. 343 is looking to get into that COD market.

Weow so true.

> This isn’t a hyperbole…

Yes it is.

Unless you’re actually paying to actually win, it doesn’t matter who has what, if you’re good and teammates are good you will win. Unless it’s like “Buy LE and spawn with rockets!” then I’ll agree. But for now it’s just something extra for the people going LE.

And who isn’t going LE? I assume the people posting on the forums are Halo fans and will be purchasing the LE. So I also assume you made this topic just to get in on the “specializations are bad!!” ruckus.

If i read correctly the people that don’t get LE have to reach max level in order get 1 new ability. That is why we’re skeptical.

Waiting only puts you further behind everyone else. You might as well not even play it if you think people using a specialization you don’t have is unfair.

> Everyone has access to all 8 specializations.

Eventually. You are the one who needs to get his facts straight bro.

> Also, and this is an important part: two of the Specializations – Pioneer and Wetwork – will be available at launch. The rest will come online later

Boom. Don’t argue with me.

@ the comment that pay to win implies that paying ensures victory… no, that’s never what pay to win meant. Pay to win means that real life currency = greater power. That’s exactly what is happening in this case. You buy LE, you get access to more stuff. More stuff, more power (not to mention that the other perks are just straight up better than the starting two).

SHUT UP and look at this
