Halo 4: Party up or -Yoink-

Does 343 want players to have fun? every game i am matched up against tryhards with a team of noobs, not his might sound cliché but whenever i have a match in a party i don’t play against tryhards and i actually have a fun game, this is because csr forces you to play against people who are at the same level as you i.e people who are better than you, i don’t want to play against people who are as good as me, i want to play against a mixed team and the only way i can do that is in an XBLP.

Sounds like you want to tee off on some lesser skills opponents…

I like the challenge of playing with my skill group.

I enjoy winning 1000-990 in BTB.

Basically you want Ranked and Social playlists, something a lot of us hoped Halo 4 would have from day 1 but no.

I sort of agree with everyone in this thread.

It sucks getting matched up with people in a higher skill bracket than you. Check out this Team Slayer recent game I played:

While I admire the idea of matching up against similar skill level, I don’t like the idea of facing off against an opponent who is CSR 47 (when I’m CSR 18!!) who has 60,000 kills and 30,000 deaths (roughly).

There is nothing even about that fight and my team got absolutely destroyed. So it would be nice to have a social playlist where people are not trying to murder you; it would also be nice to have a better skill matching system.

These are normally the best games even if you lose.

I agree with OP

Me and my friends play casually but still play to win. Its not fun at all to be matched with a party of tryhards.

A recent example was on meltdown. Me and two friends and then randoms V 5/6 Clan members.

Complete massacre.

People playing with friends/in groups should be matched ONLY against other groups…

> People playing with friends/in groups should be matched ONLY against other groups…

A decent idea but with the drawback of even longer match-up times if you play in a group. Meaning with some of the populations as low as they are, getting a team togther in say, team objective, would be pretty hard

I agree with OP. When I am playing I typically am matched against atleast a team of 2 people (using mics/callouts) and maybe some solo players, while it seems like everyone on my team is solo and silent (no mic). This is the flaw, they are not matching like minded people. In reach you could choose to be matched with chatty players, so even if you were not in a group you could still callout/talk to someone and probably play more in sync. With the population the way it is, I can see why there is no group vs. group match’s. When I do party up with friends we often wipe the floor with ppl, seems like with current population and system that finding the ideal balance between fair match’s, connection and language is getting more and more difficult by the day :frowning: (Noticing a lot of players from Mexico recently, me being from Canada there is severe connection issues when playing with them, also when they do have mics, I don’t know what they are saying…)

So true…

We had a game where I had a foe in my sights and was pelting him at 990-990, too bad I could not kill him in time before the defeat sign came up…

I love those, they are intense and pretty great

no it’s still challenging just not too challenging.

This is a general problem with CSR. In your match, the level 47 probably searched with a friend who is a level 1. The system will then average out and probably considers the two of them a combined level 24 each. The problem is, the level 1 hasn’t reached his actual rank where as the 47 did. On the flip side, if you are playing with a friend who is actually a level 5, you wouldn’t want to be matched with people who are all equal to your rank (in the 20’s). Regardless of what they do, there will always be a problem.

I know the forums on here were pushing for that for soo long.
