so i jumped into the halo 4 forum for the first time since release. Ive not had the time to do the full campaign yet so spare me the spoilers please. First id like to notice i’ve seen alot of threads with alot, and i mean ALOT of negativity. NOTE: this post contains my personal opinion on the game as it is from release.
Starting with Campaign, i fell in love with it as soon as i saw the graphics for cortana, i could tell straight away it was going to be a unique experience. So far ive reached the 4th mission and im extremely excited to see more spartans involved in campaign.
War Games - i participated in the midnight launch, it was about 5Am when me and my friend payed a visit to the multiplayer and we noticed there was 20,000 players in infinity slayer and increased by around 20K per hour, that was amazing to see. Loved every moment of the 6 hours i have under my belt, only issues i had was people leaving the game, it black screened for around 5 mins a time. and dominion playing was laggy with a party of 5. unsure of the reason but it just did not love us.
Spartan ops - A very nice replacement to fire fight, nice objective layout. but feels as if the players are spammed by opponents too often or on normal difficulty it was literally too easy. Me and a friend completed each mission on average 8 minutes. On heroic it took us 10 minutes.
Forge - The new forging system is way easier to use for the skilled forgers out there using this new system is a walk in the park and will start turning out new maps within a hour of work. i do like the new magnet system but the co-ordination system needs revising, it still seems to jump objects around and with no fine editing on the joy stick any more, it could make precision maps harder to create.
But over all im thoroughly enjoying Halo 4 and its different experiences. Looking forward to what ever else you have in store for halo 4, may it be buckling under the consistent demands of the community or adding new idea’s to the game such as Extraction.
