The purpose of this topic is to clearly state our thoughts and opinions on each topic related to Halo 4,
in hopes of helping 343 Industries to develop a better Halo 5.
The topic will change each day, unless I feel the current topic hasn’t been covered well enough.

I dislike how the search time has become increasingly long because of “skill based matching.” While some prefer these long search times, some of us like me simply want to get in a game with people that are broadly in our skill level.
CSR is a good idea but should only apply to certain “skill playlists.” There is no point in putting CSR in flood because everybody plays the same.

This would not be an issue if there were separate ranked and social playlists. I’ve discussed this for SO long now, and that is always the bottom line: ranked and social. Separate playlists would solve an enormous amount of issues this game has.
And I agree, sometimes I want to go into a game immediately and just play. Maybe I just want to drive someone in the warthog, or try out my skills with the carbine for a few matches. But other times, I’d like to play against players of my caliber and do my very best to win at all costs.
Halo 5 should do what Tribes Ascend does, or what Quake Live does.
Have a server browser, and have rank-locked or rank-based servers. No matchmaking required. As you level up, new servers become unlocked and past ones become locked. As you level down, the same happens.
Then have a ton of unranked servers.
A server browser also eliminates the need to vote, as people can just find the map and settings they want to play.
Also I suggest you make a post at the end of the day saying “end of _____ discussion” so we don’t get confused which posts refer to which discussion.
