So we were told there would be another playable species in Halo 4 multiplayer besides spartans and we have recently been introduced to the new game type Flood Mode. Is the flood the other species or is there still something else not yet reveled?
im pretty sure the flood is the other species.
I would think that if they say “other playable species” then they mean you can always play as them like the elite, idk for sure tho…btw welcome to the forums!

Wish there were, though. We need something more than the same 7 species we’ve been fighting for the last 11 years.

When were we told this? Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to hear it. I just haven’t heard it anywhere. I don’t think it’ll be the Flood if anything. There’s something more here, I also would like to say that I think we’ve been told about a lot more aspects of this game that are a mystery, we just haven’t read between the lines.

I remember hearing about it awhile ago that elites will not be returning in multiplayer but something else will take their place.

Well, seeing as we have “Spartan Ranks” and the fact 343i won’t spill any beans on the ranking system, it would be a Shaymalan twist if they threw in a new race to replace the Sangheili. Forerunner Rank? Not like the Knights, but the normal Forerunner warrior-servants.
I feel like it can’t be Prometheans. I don’t see them fitting into multiplayer. If it’s not the flood, maybe there is another enemy 343 hasn’t introduced yet…?

yeah back when they said the were removing elites they confirmed something else would take their place in halo 4
We were told there would be 4 species? Must have missed that. But if its true I guess that would count…Idk

Yeah, but besides that (technically, Forerunners were introduced back in CE). The Librarian rescued thousands of sentient species, yet we’ve only gotten 7. Would love some new bipedal ones as potential enemies/allies/player models.

Yeah, like in H:CE where the Covenant were afraid of the flood, maybe there is something even the flood are afraid of…
Or maybe brutes will come back in multiplayer?
