Is anyone out there excited for the Volume 2 Soundtrack that’s out April 9th?! Two more weeks! Mantis song, Never Forget, and Prologue music will be included, among 17 other tracks! (I’m assuming Prologue is the first track.)

The only Halo OST i will be interested in is if “Marty O’Donnell” has his name on there. I wasn’t too impressed with halo 4 OST.
I wasn’t impressed with any of Halo 4’s music it was very disappointing for me, sorry for the negativity.

It’s understandable. I only really liked Requiem, 117 (of course), Revival, and (somewhat) Arrival. To Galaxy, I found somewhat bland? Perhaps because the game overused it like crazy. Green and Blue is… too boring for me tbh. I don’t know… something about it makes me skip it every time it plays lol. Belly of the Beast was actually pretty good. And Legacy was really good too, but maybe too short. The one thing that REALLY bugged me, was how “Awakening” was used as the music said to be played on the first level. Even the name says it. And it wasn’t played on Dawn AT ALL. That’s what really bummed me out.

Thats because of the “nostalgia”. I was expecting Halo 4 OST like Halo 3: ODST. Can’t beat that, lol.
I understand where people come from with liking Marty better. The guitars and everything were really well done, I’m not that much into the techno stuff.

Dude, I don’t think ANY soundtrack can match ODST’s. That was ridiculously amazing.

Absolutely. Personally, when i go out driving, that the first thing i put on. Especially Skyline/Air Traffic Control. Keeps me going.
Halo 4, with the exception of Desecration, would put me to sleep.
Easily one of the better soundtracks in the series.
117, Arrival, Pursuit, Belly of the beast, Awakening and Faithless were all EXCELLENT songs.

What happened to Revival? I love that song so much. And I see what you mean with Faithless. Especially when it slows down towards the middle-end it sounds really nice. It kinda separates itself from the hard, techno beat songs like Ascendancy. Pursuit? I don’t have that track… OH!! You mean Mantis! Yes I love that song I can hear it for 3 hours straight when doing HW I’m so happy to have it on the new CD!

But 117 from Halo 4 is officially master chiefs theme.
i just realized, did anyone hear, during the beginning of campaign mission, Composer, when Chief notices the ring. Anyone hear the “true” halo theme. If only that were on the V2, i would get it just for that.

Yes dude! More Than His Share, The Menagerie, Skyline, Finale. There are so many great pieces I love. Traffic Jam is absolutely amazing. And Bits and Pieces is one of the best piano pieces I’ve heard. When I go to the beach early in the morning sometimes, I always play Bits and Pieces. And the other songs I didn’t mention, I usually listen to them when I go to sleep or when I’m in the city at night. Or when it’s nice and raining outside Truly great memories man

Yes, I did notice that. It sounded really nice, a bit distinguishable from the same theme in other soundtracks. It could possibly be in the track ‘Intruder’, because the description says the soundtrack will be in chronological order. I’m also assuming ‘Atonement’ is the Prologue/Opening Midnight cut scene when Chief is getting into the Broadsword song that EVERYBODY is asking for. And ‘Majestic’ either sounds like the song that plays in the credits for Spartan Ops Season 1 Finale (which is AMAZING), or the song you hear a few times in Spartan Ops and halfway through the Making Majestic Map pack trailer. Agreed. It just sticks now, you know? Like peanut putter and jelly, Master Chief and 117. But in my opinion Reach is probably my least favorite next to Halo: The Soundtrack (Original Halo)

Nothing can beat Halo 3 ODST’s soundtrack, it simply blew my mind. I cant wait for this soundtrack either but one question, Why only a digital download, wheres meh CD.
