Halo 4 or Bumper Jumper

Which controls do you think are better. I’m trying out both and I have found that Halo 4 controls are much easier to learn. But, I heard when you have bumper jumper, it’s better gameplay.

Personally, I played better with Bumper Jumper mainly because my fingers stayed on the sticks more during combat. Eventually I reverted back to Halo 4 because of the muscle memory. Of the two, I would recommend Bumper Jumper.

I use Halo 4 but I do have an elite controller so I was able to remap the crouch and grenade select button to paddles under the controller so it’s awesome

Playing With Bumper Jumper since the past few months. It definitely is a good choice out of the options you gave. Besides, if you are looking for a fusion of Bumper Jumper and normal FPS controls, try Hell Jumper which is quite similar in function to BJ. The only advantage for casual players is that the traditional Scope/Zoom stays at the LT.

I like the Halo 4 layout myself.

I use default.

Other halo I use reclaimer / recon or defaults.

Yeah, it just feels right in my hands… Something bumper jumper doesn’t.

I did the same thing, I even also made X be part of the paddles too. It makes the game feel pretty good since I stay on the sticks most of the time.

I was like you OP, I used to played H4 but after watching some videos on Youtube about controller layout, I decided to switch over to Bumper Jumper. Definitely worth it, it took time to get used to the layout but it was totally worth it.

For halo 5, you want Helljumper, not bumper jumper.
