I think this time it will be Halo 4 because Black Ops was for the most Cod Fans a must have. So it sucked for them.
And the Halo Community will crush em with buying Halo 4
I think they will both be popular. Black ops in my opinion was a solid COD game. As long as everything ran smoothly and there were no hiccups it was perfect.
I don’t let fanboyism get to my head anymore after Reach. It jsut completely threw me off on how they did that.
I’m going to love Halo 4 though. I like what they are doing after watching the trailer and discussing it for a bit.
It pains me to say this but BO2 will probably sell more and maintain a higher population. Though I could be wrong, a lot of people beyond off-topic internet forums are expressing a dislike for how stale CoD has become. So, yeah, it’s not delusion to think Halo will get near it. Outsell it though? Maybe not.
Depends if halo 4 is like reach or not. If it is I would sooner buy a new viva pinata game…
Been seeing a lot of talk how Halo 4 has interested people again that lost that spark for the series.

The next Call of Duty installement will always prevail, it is the ultimate casual game and considering it is multi-platform unlike Halo which is limited to just one console.
I expect high Halo 4 sales, but nowadays, Call of Duty will always win.
I honestly don’t know. Probably BLOPS2.
They will both be popular. Multi-platform though BlackOps II will beat the crap out of Halo 4 in sales, and population. But on the Xbox 360? Now that CoD is losing it’s ‘edge’ and Halo is returning to its roots (for real this time, Halo Reach was NOT Halo CE 2), I think we will see a rise in Halo’s popularity from Halo Reach and 3’s third year.

its not the “will it sell more” that matters its obvious it will as it is multi-platform.
what does matter however is “will it sell more on the 360”.
if it does then halo4 has won simple. if not then cod will still suck.

I wouldn’t say it’s mindless fanboyism, I’d say that a huge portion of CoD’s audience are too casual to care if it’s stale. It’s a title they’re comfortable with so they have no problem buying it over and over again.

Now you mention it I know somebody exactly like that. He’s professed to be giving up CoD for good so many times it’s unreal, yet he continues to play it despite the astronomical rages it sends him into. It baffles me.
On Xbox Halo 4 will probably sell more, but with PC and PS3 sales Blops2 will be miles ahead.
This should be locked because this has nothing to do with Halo 4 at all. Im on a Halo site not a cod I dont want to hear anything about that horrible game.

It all depends what 343 does. It was unthinkable any game could beat out a Halo game at a point in time. Halo has a team that could create the “CoD killer,” but we don’t really have enough information on either game to make that descision
According to your question, OP, obviously BOTH will be “popular”.
Look, I’m a huge Halo fan, but you’re delusional if you think Halo 4 will outpace Black Ops II come holiday.
I’ll buy both.
But I will have more “feelings” toward Halo 4, for its Story, detail, and memories that come up from Halo 3.
Black Ops will just be yet another CoD Copy-Paste part that I will buy to have a game to sometimes play with friends.
I do really hope though, that Halo 4 will be as long-living and enjoyable as Halo 3 was.
One of the differences between Halo and CoD, is that when a Halo game comes out, it’s spaced out, save ODST and Halo 3 which were back to back if I can remember, but CoD comes out every year. Differences from MW2 to MW3, new perks, new guns, some better graphics, yatta yatta yatta, the game is the same crap every year, just different things. Halo has innovated, which was the reason for Reach’s downfall, too much innovation, but seriously, notice how Halo has changed over the years. I’m sure Halo 4 will drop a deuce on Call of Duty Xbox-wise.
