The game looks great all and all but why is it that in every trailer I watch there seems to be a really low framerate. Maybe it’s just me or has anyone else also noticed this?
Looks fine to me.
> Looks fine to me.
Probably just you, since it seems to work fine for everyone else who is replying at the moment
C’mon guys just look at this trailer:

You can’t possibly say that it runs as smooth as previous titles, just look at the hijack and assassination animation!

Still don’t see what you’re talking about looks fine in HD on my laptop.
idk looks pretty smooth to me
I just looked at it in 720p(the highest on that video) and watched very carefully.
And I must say…either you are blind, or just can’t see very well…oh wait, that’s basically the same. =D
But naw, I’m just playin with you. But as for the animations, again, even in 720p the animations look smoother than reach, further, this is still beta content my friend. Things can change in the small time from now to release.
Maybe your like the Master Chief and see things in slow motion?
It’s your computer. I’m watching it now and it does look like the framerate is pretty low, but when I watch this same video on my Xbox it’s just as smooth as any other Halo.
Ok watched it again in HD and true it got a little better but it still feels like it’s missing a few frames but that’s probably just me i guess
Halo 4 was confirmed to run at 30 FPS :<
It can be a bit of an eyesore if you’re used to playing at a higher rate, but it is what it is. 30 is the minimum too, so there’s definitely no way they’d purposefully go lower than that (it can happen unintentionally, see Reach).
> Maybe your like the Master Chief and see things in slow motion?
YES! that has to be it
I’m MC beaches!
Well, to me, the game looks smooth, at least as smooth as Reach. And remember, they are almost done with material of the game and then they have months to polish and optimize game’s performance to hights!
Personally I’m slightly worried about fps of the campaign! Game looks insanely good and I hope it doesn’t do same mistake what Reach did with campaign (Framerate is not smooth at all)
EDIT. 30 frames is really smooth IF it is locked so it doesn’t make spikes on framerate!
le sigh
Why can’t they just make Halo a PC game as well, for those of us with fantastic comps?
no offense to my XBOX friends and brothers, but this whole 30 fps thing, and so on…I just don’t like it…I love how Halo 4 looks, I do…but think of it in 120 FPS with full graphics capabilities unlocked and shown on Comp.
The shadows of every single plant and pixel, the glare of light, the shine of bullet casings…it would be gorgeous.
It looks fine to me. You must see things in slow-motion.
Watched it in 1080p and no fps issues like you stated OP.
Have you been playing any games recently that run in 60FPS?

I know how you feel. I’m a PC gamers, but the only reason I go back to console is to paly Halo.
I can’t imagine it feeling the same on PC, it wouldn’t feel as relaxing.
(Played CodMW/MW2/MW3 and BF02/03 on both xbox and PC and even though PC looks better, I felt more relaxed playing it on Xbox)
Maybe its just your connection messing with the vidoe feed. Looks fine to me.
