Halo 4 Online Credit Limit Reached?

Today I reached some sort of credit cap and I want to know why, because I played for 5 hours online the day it came out and so did my friend (no cap reached then) a day later me and my friend played for 4 hours (no cap reached then) then today we played for about 2 hours and I got a message saying I reached the online credit limit and Im a SR-30, how is this when me and my freind played at the same times and hes still going up in rank and why didnt he get caped and if their is a cap how is their SR-51’s online. I also want to know what the credit limit is and when its lifted, because I want to play my $60 dollar game I bought :frowning: I cant play it happliy in tell the cap is lifted.

PS the amount of time I said above inclues waiting in-between matches, waiting in lobby and have connection issues.

It is a daily limit to help keep people from maxing their level the day they start. Play again tomorrow, and you’ll be able to get credits. It is NOT a level cap, the Sr-51s you see are people who it didn’t catch and are now doing one of the six Specializations. There are fifty base ranks, and ten ranks for each of the six specializations, making a total of 130 ranks. Again, just stop playing for a bit, and your credit limit will go back to allowing you to receive credits.

This is absolutely ridiculous!!!

I paid $100 for my copy!

This is really -Yoink!- me off.

I paid for it, and if I wanna play red eyed for days…then so be it!

I could care less that most people won’t get there copy until christmas!

SOOOOO!

If you put the work in to level up your character, there shouldn’t be a stupid penalty.

Why the hell were we not told about this before launch??

Because Microsoft knew it would be a negative impact on the amount of copies sold.

They better fix this crap, and I mean fast.

Or COD Black Ops 2 will do a rain dance on Halo’s face.

GEEEEEZZZZ!!!

Did you complain when bungie did it for reach as well?

Barely anybody was hitting the credit limit on reach… And that limit didn’t stop you from getting credits on challenges or commendations.

Did people actually play reach?

The XP cap is garbage. There will be tumbleweeds blowing through Haven come Tuesday.

If you idiots would actually read instead of come straight to the forums and whine like little kids you would know that 343i is keeping track of how many people hit the cap and are changing it accordingly. Hate to break it to you guys. But games aren’t perfect day one. 343i put the level cap inplace to avoid the whole hacker/booster issue that is so famously seen on Call of Duty and now you guys are whining about that. And we all know if they didn’t you all would be whining about getting boosters in your game…

I really want to know what the hell this credit cap is!

I don’t see a problem with it I have hit the exp cap twice but I also had double exp if I wouldn’t have had the double exp it would have taken longer to hit the cap. I was told the cap is 75k exp.

It’s a lazy method of curbing cheating. The only people that care about boosters are people who live for video game leaderboards. Everyone is being restricted so halo nerds around the world can preserve the sacred leaderboards.

Lazy Method? Right, that’s why they have a ban system in place. Remember the Halo 3 Boosters (Heh, doubt you ever play Halo 3 in it’s prime but w/e) I’m sure having 2 people just stand there and jump so they could get deranked so they could boost someone else up didn’t bother you. The fact is, with the knowing TrueSkill system coming in it’s a pretest for that. 343i, Unlike Bungie is trying to figure a way to stop the boosters in the skill ranking system instead of just abandoning it like Bungie did. And of course because the Xbox community can never be happy no matter what their just getting whined at. The game has been out for 6 days and people are acting like this thing has been in place for a year. They have already said they’re going to be monitoring it to see if it needs to be adjusted. Is it really that bad to give them a -Yoink!- chance to fix more important things? Or, would you rather have the XP Cap fix’d and let kids sit in walls and kill you? 343i has their priorities straight, it’s just this greedy community expects everything to be perfect coming out of the package.

It’s quite simple, just change your time zone to about twelve hours from the time and your credit cap will be gone. Then when you get off just put it to regular time

Does this actually work? And why would you want to do that?
