Simple answer = No. It’s going to be for Xbox 360.
Yeah, the Nextbox is definitely not getting released until at least late 2013. Also, that source you posted has the release date for Halo 4 wrong. Didn’t they listen to Sarge’s song? Obviously not a very credible source.

OT: Thier is no possible way it will be on the next xbox because Halo 4 is coming out this year and the pre-orders are set in stone.

It is possible, it’s just extremely unlikely. For instance; King Kong originally released on the Xbox Original, then was re-released on the Xbox 360.
Yeah OP Halo 4 will be for the Xbox 3…if by that you mean being backwards compatible. Just like CE and Halo 2 were backwards compatible for the 360. I doubt there will be a separate version made specifically for the Xbox 3. Since Halo 5 will be made for the Xbox 3 for Fall 2015…more than likely. But that’s just me guessing…

Halo 4 maxes out the 360’s capabilities, but it can still handle it. if they upgrade the game at all for halo 5, THEN it’ll need the 720.

It won’t. There will not be a new Xbox until around 2013/2014. 2013 at the earliest anyway.

oh really. they revealed the xbox 360 slim model at e3 and began selling them that day. don’t say there’s no way. anyways, i wouldn’t think that they make the nextbox and make H4 be it’s selling game. it would probably turn out like halo 2. come out before the xbox 360, but everyone still play it.

NO, its NOT coming out on next gen. this has been confirmed OVER and OVER. This article is INCORRECT and halo 4 is 100% certain, unless some nuke detonates every xbox 360 in every household in the world, coming out on the xbox 360. Do you comprehend this?
Part of the reason i know this is that they already started accepting preorders and people would cancel them in multitudes because they wouldnt want/couldnt afford to buy the new xbox.
I also believe its been confirmed the nextbox would never be called the xbox 720 either, and is more likely to be still called the Xbox 360 with a massive overhaul that gives it next generation hardware. Otherwise itll likely be called Xbox with a certain meaningful word that describes its leap to next generation tech. But the article is definately pretty awful, and simply wrong, is it possible there will be a updated 360 released soon to give it more juice? Sure but its doubtful, since theyd rather have everyone playing Halo 4 on the same platform for atleast a year I suspect.
In case no one noticed, the article says Halo 4 comes out on Nov. 4th. If you can’t even get the release date right, your article has no credibility.
At best there will be hidden code for nextbox features/support. Even then, it’s unlikely.
