The population only gets to 3K or so and the game is near 5 years old. Also, halo 3 and reach have been on games with gold years ago. I think this would be a nice population boost.
That would only increase the population in a very short period because the games with gold is for casual gamers who enjoys to play a lot of games. The population boost would probably not even be noticeable after 1-2 weeks.
You are right. I remember halo 3’s only lasting for a month or so.
They might do that around the same time as it becomes backwards compatable. If the servers are more stable by then, I think I’ll stick around for a while.

It is around 1K on weird times, with a peak of 2.5K in the evening. On weekends it gets to 3K.
Maybe when it becomes backwards compatible. Good way to increase population.

Yeah, it would be a bit higher with games with gold and backwards compatibility. I would personally be playing Halo 4 BTB still if I still had my Xbox 360.
MCC takes away some population too. Oh I wish MCC MM was a bit better.
