As it gets closer to release date, I’m getting more and more concerned that Halo 4 will make the same mistake Skyrim did. That huge mistake had a huge effect on Skyrim gameplay for me. I play my xbox on an old tv, its as deep as it is wide, the screen is perfectly square.
The mistake that Skyrim made was that it was designed specifically for a wide screen tv, the compass and health/magicka/stamina bars were all half off the screen. Which meant alot of guess work for me.
If this is the case were Halo 4, I wouldn’t be able to see the bottom half of my radar, my grenades, ammunition, and whatever else at the top, bottom, and sides of the screen. As you can guess, this will impact my Halo 4 experience greatly.
You may be thinking, “if thats the case just buy a different tv.” I’m currently a high school student, scrounging up as much money as possible to try to pay for university next year. I don’t exactly have that option. 343i I beg of you, consider us fans who aren’t up to the times with widescreen HD tvs.
I got the same problem. I do have the money for a new tv, but my dad doesn’t want a new one, because he doesn’t think it’s necessary. And I can’t convince him… -_-

Reach played perfectly on it, so I really hope Halo 4 will follow suit. Not to mention, my parents got that tv for their wedding and have a sentimental attachment to it for some reason. So even more reason that buying a new tv is simply not an option.
