Yeah, so in retrospect it probably wasn’t the best idea to buy the cheapest Xbox available, but c’mon, it took me months to save up the $200. Anyways, as you can probably assume from the title, I have a 4GB Xbox 360, and I’m a bit worried Halo 4 will eat it for breakfast. I have a 13 GB hard drive (Why such an odd number? It’s Japanese), and that’ll allow me to install the multiplayer, but what if there’s a Battlefield 3-esque “Optional” texture install? Gah! I don’t want the game to look horrible!
Heeeerlp!
buy a 16gb flash drive. its like $10.
problem solved.
I believe they said you’d need at least 8 GBs. So if you have that you should be fine. I doubt there is a second disk for textures.

what?
I am serious, I did not understand what you said except for you basically saying that you should get a different xbox.
Even I do not have a 4GB Xbox, it sounds like murder to use when wanting to play games and potentially have to delete whatever you did just to play another game.

And I don’t understand why you can’t understand my post. I asked if Halo 4 will run well on a 4GB, basically. In Battlefield 3 there was an optional texture install that, if you chose not to install it, caused the game to look worse than something from 2001. And I asked if Halo 4 might have something similar. Now do you understand? No?
It will run fine with a 13GB hard drive as long as you have the required 8GB space that is needed.

This is what I’m hoping for. In Reach, they got away with super high-resolution textures by basically having no real-time lighting effects, but in Halo 4, the textures seem to be of the same quality, AND the lighting is top of the line. It just seems too good to be true, which is why I’m worried about a texture install.
A friend of mine using a 4GB xbox wasn’t allowed to play campaign on Reach but was fine with Multiplayer. But I dunno why, and wasn’t aware of being able to use externals as substitute Xbox hard drive.
While I think you will be fine, please allow me to say… Maybe if you can’t afford a proper console you should focus on earning money over playing game.

Well I’m just thinking that they would warn everyone beforehand if they had a texture pack we needed to download. They already warned us about the 8 GBs for spartan ops or whatever so I’d hope if they did have a texture pack download they would have warned us about that as well.
I just realized I have no idea how much GB my XBOX has. O_o
And about your problem, as someone suggested, buy a 16GB flash drive.
