So it’s no surprise since Halo 5 Forge’s release on Windows 10 that people would play with the files that run the game…someone managed to find that the Halo 4 Oddball weapon exists in Halo 5 and functions as expected.
Here’s my question, if the ball has been there all along, why create a NEW ball weapon? Why wait until Hammer Storm released with the Grifball playlist and the base gametype for Assault/Ricochet/Grifball/Oddball? The Halo 4 Ball looks somewhat updated based on the holographic skull appearance inside it, so what’s the big deal with this 343? Is this just leftover? Or is this something halfway-implemented at the moment for something later? Is this something just aesthetic that could be implemented in forge as far as a “skin” for the ball?
How about you Community? Thoughts?
Because their whole goal was to create everything from scratch. Enhance it. Blank slate. Probably used the Halo 4 version (ported it over) in order to test the gamemode until the art team was done with the brand new, shiny one.

Didn’t anyone see the username? It’s link removed by moderator, the guy that mods halo, he could have modded it in for all you know…
Oddball is halo gamemode that has been in CE, 2, 3, Reach and 4 but not in halo 5. It’s either 343 don’t listen to us… Or they do listen to us but do absolutely nothing.
