Unlockable weapons? Joining games in progress? Loadouts? Random power weapon drops?
The thing that has always made Halo great, is that everyone starts a game on the same even ground. Both teams have equal opportunity to obtain power weapons. It’s the initial run that sets the tone for the game. It would appear as though by introducing more randomness in the game, 343i is trying to not have any form of true skill in the game.
Halo 4 is not looking like any Halo game, but rather a Sci-Fi version of a military shooter that shall not be named.
I’m a bit hesitant about weapon drops, but from the sounds of it, it can make some more interesting weapons. I’m pretty sure it’ll show where the weapon is dropping on the HUD which will force the team to move into a new set-up instead of locking down the same parts of the map over and over.

Listen to the podcast. This is the millionth thread about this. 343 has touched on the matter in the podcast. Halo multiplayer in the past had players spawn equally, that does not mean halo is ABOUT spawning equally.
Jesus. Just dont play the game if you dont like it. The game is done. Are you honestly expecting 343 to just go and reset all the progress they have made because less then 5% of its player base is ticked?
Logic: MOST people on these forums are fine with the game now.

Are you really comparing Halo and CoD? They are not the same game, and in no way will they ever be. I personally hate CoD but, they are taking the things from it that are right. They want you to be able to have your own play style so you aren’t forced to only the weapons on the map, or the loadouts for the map. If you don’t like it, don’t get the game. Don’t complain about it.

Just wait and see, it may be bad, but it may not be as well, we’re not going to know till we can play it.

Seriously. It sounds nothing like COD.
They are all features that have been in nearly every shooter known to mankind.

Halo 4 does not sound “nothing like COD”, it is borrowing some ideas of persistence one way or another, this was hugely popularized by Call of Duty 4 onward, fact.
It may be good it may be bad, we have to wait and see.
As much as the term COD being brought up as much in every g/ame forum everywhere, the fact remains that Call of Duty 4 is the primary reason that persistence is in every modern shooter now.

Also, I bet ya if we merged every Halo 4 hate thread, we’d have over one hundred pages? And then, after realizing that most of them act the same, by tracing all the other OPs IP, we’d find most of them came from the same guy on the computer with posters screaming HATE CHANGE, CHANGE IS FOR COD FANS, ETC.
