I’m not suggesting that this idea is or should happen, but I am just asking how “nostalgic” this would feel.
Anyone remember the Covenant and UNSC perspectives in the beginning of Halo 2? Well I was thinking what if they did the Halo 4 intro kind of like that?
Halo 4 begins on the planet Sanghelio’s (I hope that’s how it’s spelled) where the Arbiter is arguing with an anti-human party of elites in a “court senate” or something like that (imagine like Halo 2’s). The leader of the Anti-Human Alliance group (not official name) is arguing that the humans are barbarians and monsters but the Arbiter and his Pro-Human group counters that by saying the humans are a very honorable species (then flashbacks to the Master Chief fighting with the Arbiter in Halo 3). Just imagine this scene being similar to the Arbiters trial in Halo 2. While these Elites argue we see scenes of the modern UNSC rebuilding Earth and a shot of it’s rebuilt navy (maybe a quick flash of the UNSC Infinity). The argument ends with a short rant from the anti-human elites and a good portion of the crowd around begins to cheer. The Arbiter gets a grave look on his face before the scene fades out.
Then we fade over to the Master Chief in cryo-storage. Then to Cortana who slowly digs into her memories (of the previous halo games, this would be how players are “reminded” about the previous trilogy) with some commentary. After that the alarms start blaring and Cortana wakes up John and etc.
Just thought this would be cool. Explanation of why we’re fighting elites (for those like me who haven’t read Glasslands) and a bit of a nostalgic feel for our new trilogy. Hmm . . . I didn’t get as in depth with this as I had hoped. Whatever, you guys get the point.
