Soo I ordered Halo 4 from the Microsoft website and received it Tuesday morning, I played it off and on for a while, though it never left my Xbox. On Saturday I got and home wanting to play, and that’s when my games sound no longer worked. All my other games have sound and when I click middle button or am on the Dashboard everything works fine. This seems to be a problem since I have read about it in multiple forums. I have tried using diferent consoles and accounts, this has also not worked. I just got off the phone with a representative from Microsoft who told me to post this as we went through much troubleshooting, system cache clearing, deleting then re-downloading my account, and removing all updates and re-downloading them, none of this has worked. I hope I can get this problem fixed soon, please reply with any help you may have.

Same problem here. Xbox console has sound but Halo 4 does not. Xbox even has sound while Halo 4 is running, if I press the Xbox button I get the sound as it opens, but no sound at all in Halo 4. Two days in a row now.
Yeah I’m having a similar problem with Halo 4. Sound effects work fine but there is absolutely no voices in the game. Campaign, spartan ops and war games, no voices in anything but the SFX’s work

I’m at the point where there is no audio at all in my Halo 4 game, in campaign, Infinity, multiplayer, cutscenes, the whole lot.
Found no way to fix it so far, and it’s been five days.
My Live has been deactivated for a temporary time, so I know that this problem, (and possibly all of your issues,) is not online-related.
The only problem I have discovered is during cutscenes in the campaign,
and very slightly during gameplay, where I heard garbled low-quality SFX.
Voices are 100% and so is menu sound,
however I can only assume that there will be multiple sound issues with the multiplayer as well.
Received the game on X-Mas, has anyone found out if there will be a downloadable patch for this?
