Halo 4 - no objectives in FFA, hopefully.

I would really like to see Halo 4 have no objective based FFA gametypes like Halo 3 did. They are unbalanced and cheap in Halo 3’s FFA, for example: lucky spawn, camping in the corner, kill -Yoink!- and throwing the oddball out of the map. Halo’s FFA should be like Reach’s FFA Arena was IMO.

If anyone has a counter towards my opinion than please share it with me.

Im a big fan of FFA but I prefer objective games to be in there shure it could be a bit anoying when ppl were teaming in ranked obj FFA but other than that I think it’s alot of fun to play FFA objective games like crazy king, oddball, zombies, juggernaut and head hunter. It just mixes things up a bit when it’s not all about the killing but also about the fun and the crazyness those games can turn into.

(altho there always will be ppl who don’t want to play that certain gametype or just want a positive k/d that’ll just kill ppl)

I can see your point for a ranked FFA playlist. But for non-ranked FFA playlist they should be in, FFA objective can be fun regardless of the utter chaos.

I think objective games should stay in FFA. I always love to play juggernaut.

Headhunter and maybe Juggernaut are the only FFA gametypes that work. With stuff like KotH and Oddball, it’s usually the most suicidal player that wins.

I disagree, I would really like to see more objective gametypes (2 out of 3 choices) in particular juggernaut and oddball. King of the hill can also be fun. FFA slayer is by far the best but I also really like juggernaut and wish you had the option to play it more in Reach.

Also - Before oddball returns it needs to be changed to play better as currently it is a bit…suicidal?

as long as they input a RANKED FFA then i dont care

If anything, FFA needs more objective gametypes.

I’ll give you lucky spawns, but in FFA, I see camping with and throwing Oddball over off the map as fair strategies. Camping I don’t have a problem with because the player with the Oddball has a waypoint. Throwing the Oddball of the map is a common strategy in both FFA and team Oddball, and it’s a solid asset denial strategy.

Well, I usually pass objectives as much as possible in free for all except for head hunter! Head hunter is best new gametype that Reach introduced. It’s genious! Too bad it pops up rarely :[

But back to subject: I think they should remove king of the hill, that is just stupid: the hill is suicide! I don’t enjoy dying so much when trying to win an objective. Oddball is more reasonable. It works. Infection is funny, juggernaut isn’t.

So I think that objectives fits in FFA, but these gametypes should be nerfed; remove some, add maybe new objecive gametypes that fits for lone wolf-playing

“Camping” in King of the Hill = playing the game

Throwing the oddball off the maps usually amounts to you getting killed and then being out of place and disoriented for the next oddball spawn.

In juggernaut, camping by the juggernaut is useless if the other team isn’t full of idiots who keep going to him. They can just spam him out of wherever he is with grenades if they need to.

There is no FFA Objective-Based gametype that is unfair. Sometimes might you be unlucky? Sure. But the same goes for any other playlist.
