Hey guys
Im not really a Machinima creator but I really do enjoy watching them. And this post is just my way in which we can make Manchinimas more easy to make and friendly in Halo 4.
Let me explain,
Weapon Lowering:
Some Machinima Directors do not really know the trick on how to lower thier weapons and i think we need an option in which the character models automatically lower thier weapons. In Custom Games this would not apply, it will only be in forge, this means that when a player starts a new game in Forge their character automatically has thier weapon lowered and raise it when they are firing. I think this should also been shown in First Person too as in Machinimas this would be an amazing prospect.
Falcons, Pelicans and Phantoms:
AS we all know, most Machinimas have a scene which shows the Spartans or Elites being dropped off to some unknown location. And usually the spartans have two or three Falcons with some Spartan character on the Side Mounted Turrets. But the Falcon has the seats in the back with nobody using them. So I sometimes think ‘Why Didnt Bungie make these seats accessable?’ So i think in Halo 4 (if the falcon returns) we should be able to take advantage of these seats and make them accessable (Only in Forge).
If we do see the Elites return in Halo 4, Machinma Directors are gonna take full advantage of the Models in Multiplayer and put them in their Machinima. So another option on Forge would be to spawn the Phantom (cargo doors open) which can seats a Pilot and Troops in cargo hold to give Machinmas that massive war feel. This also applys with a Pelican for the Spartans, cargo door open and accessable seats for the Spartan Characters.
Forge Buildings:
It was nice to have some UNSC and Covenant objects to forge with in Halo 3 and Halo Reach, but i think this can be expanded way more in Halo 4. Let me explain…
If we do see the Legendary Forge return in Halo 4 then its gonna have to contain something really big to give Halo fans that big “WOW!”, and I think i know how we can do this. Forge should give the player an option to forge objects such as Barracks, garages, Helipads, Sniper Posts, UNSC bunkers and many more. Same for the Covenant side too as they could have Objects such as Sniper Nests, Command centres, those Grunt Methane container from Halo Reach…etc.
Not only would this give Machinmas a great feel when watching them. But Invasion gametypes or Infection Gametypes will feel so amazing. I can actually think of playing an Invasion gametype on a Forged Map and storming the UNSC base to capture the Core, it will just feel amazing.
