Halo 4 needs to be like Pokemon....

Think about it.

We want something new. But we also want it to be the same if not better than the Previous title.

Nintendo did something amazing with the Pokemon Franchise, when they created Pokemon Black and White Versions…

Those games single handed restored my faith in Nintendo. The Anime and the game both “Reset” or “Restarted” From scratch. (As it always doe’s) BUT this time they did it, and they did it right.

The Graphics, the Protagonist’s Age, the Story, The Characters, The Region’s layout & design, the Creatures themselves all were vastly different then any previous Pokemon games before it. (Believe me, I know, I’ve played them all).

It felt so “New” and so “Unique” and “Fresh” that it was like my first time again! It was so long since i last played a Pokemon game that was that truly Memorable!

What they did was correct. They left the original formulas intact and expanded upon it. (Remember Don’t fix what isn’t broken, Improve what isn’t broken).

They Only let you use and see Pokemon from THAT region specifically and ALL other Pokemon weren’t available through normal game-play until After the End. (Were as in all previous games before it you could get the previous Gen Pocket-monsters like Gen I, II, III, IV Etc. from the beginning)

It added Triple and Rotation Battles to game-play as well as expanded game-play further by adding new attacks, items, Features, ability, and more all while still leaving the same General Game-play we all know and love.

The Anime followed the Games footsteps, but not as closely…

So yes I hope 343i learns from the success of Nintendo, and Re-invents the franchise that Re-invented a Genre…

NOTE: I am NOT trying to Debate the differences between Pokemon and halo nor am i trying to say which Pokemon games are the best, or even if the new Pokemon games are any good or not. All I am trying to say is that the direction Nintendo took Pokemon in was a wise one and 343i should do the same. Everything is New with almost Nothing old (Except the main formulas of traveling/catching/battling/leveling/etc. although it is greatly expanded upon) But then once you complete the main story, then Almost all of the old Characters/Pokemon/Etc. Become available to you and then you can play how you truly want… I hope this makes sense

Ah… I can see it now: Halo 4 UNSC Green and Halo 4 Forerunner Gray. They’re the exact same games but… MASTER CHIEF’S ARMOR IS A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TINT OMFG!!!

Well if you like Pokemon you should no that Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2 will come to the USA this fall.

I’m a Nintendo fan as well and no matter how old I get I will never get tired of playing games like Mario, Fox, Pokemon, Super Smash Bro Melee and mini more. I just wish Microsoft would come out with a game that had the all of the All Star Characters on the Xbox 360 and make like a FPS or some kind of game out of it. Like you could say on the line of Super Smash Bro Melee but in a Microsoft type of way.

Good god. It’s a smart business move, but Nintendo is really acting like a despicable parasite leeching off of peoples’ love for Pokemon, releasing the same game FOUR TIMES and marketing them as their own games.

I gave White a chance, nearly got to the end, but to no avail. I found it extremely boring. As far as my love for Pokemon goes, I’m all over the anime, and that’s probably as far as my love will go until Nintendo finally can’t leech off of Pokemon on handhelds anymore, and starts releasing full-fledged action/adventure Pokemon games on console.

While we’re all on the subject, I’m still waiting for them to Release a Remake (or Re-imagining) of Pokemon Stadium (N64). I wish it could be on the 360 as well so it could tap into the massive revolution that is XBL.

Are you saying that Halo 4 needs to be more like Pokemon? I’m not so sure about that, but the only thing that kept the Pokemon franchise alive was new moves and Pokemons.
I’ve played White and liked it, but! Overally, it was a small step backward because it didn’t include the things that were in the previous Pokemon games.

However, Pokemon White/Black was on the right track, and for Halo 4 I’m kind of seeing the same thing. Halo 4’s formula never changed as Pokemon’s too. Halo 4 will have new stuffs without changing the core gameplay. The ideas may either sound far-fetched or cool, but we still have yet to try Halo 4 before we have the grasp of the idea and feel.

I got an idea, let´s travel back to 1995, games weren´t broken, so they didn´t need to change nor innovate.

Fixing what´s not broken is needed in order to advance, i mean, back at the Dino age the life wasn´t broken, why change, WHY mother nature,WHY?
