This game NEEDS ranks back. Bring back the 1-50 rankings!

I know there were a lot of downfalls with the ranking system like boosting and deranking… but the ranking system always gave me and almost every single person I have played halo with a reason to keep playing. Just being able to see the skill gives more incentive to play. The Pro’s of a ranking system outweigh the Con’s BY FAR. If there were an actual ranking system in reach besides true skill, there is a good possibility I would still be playing reach along with more than half of my friends list!!

I know for a FACT the games online multiplayer will be more successful without a doubt just by simply bringing back the 1-50 ranking system.
What do you guys think?

No 1-50 was garbage. Does no one remember how much hate there was toward 1-50 when Halo 3 was the number 1 game?

In Halo 4 there will be a mix of trueskil and halo reach ranks they said.

I don’t know. I REALLY hate all the madeup ranks like Hero, Legend, and Mythic. Forerunner, Reclaimer? Please! I’m a Legend right now in Reach, going on Mythic and it’s so dumb! Besides, it takes too much and too long to level/rank up.

And the armor in H4 shouldn’t be kept at a stupid distance!!!

Not a single person I have talked to in reach preferred True skill or the Arena Bronze-Onyx ranking systems. Everyone I’ve talked to hates them with a passion and would take Halo 2 or 3’s ranking systems over them any day.

1-50 is not returning but Reach’s Arena system is not either. 343i is creating a new ranking system so lets see what they make. I do want a visual representation of my actual skill level and as long as Halo 4 has that I will be happy.

1-50 was a trash system! I want some thing better and one where it isn’t so booster and seller prone. We’ll see how good Halo 4 delivers on its ranking system, yes Halo 4 will have a competitive ranking system.

Exactly, Thank you! This is not Call Of Duty where the person who plays the most should have the highest ranking, This is halo, where a players skill should determine the rank on a win/loss statistical basis!!!

Well as long as it is not that horrible Arena ranking system in halo reach with the Bronze through Onyx rankings I am a lot more positive about it!

I hated almost everything about reach’s system.

I think a trueskill ranking system is kind of crucial to the success of halo 4’s MP.

just the fact that you won’t be partnered up or against players of a completely different skill level than you is kind of something it’ll need.

I know the 1-50 ranking system had its flaws (the community held mostly responsible) I feel as though it was much better for me and a lot of other players than the reach one was.

if you weren’t that good at the game then you would be partnered with and against other people who weren’t good at the game. if you were good at the game then you would be pretty much guaranteed a decent challenge.

so yeah even though I’ll have to see what 343 is going to do before making my verdict I have to say yes to 1-50 ranking system over say reach’s ranking system.

Believe it or not OP, but 1-50, wasn’t the worlds best ranking system!
It was so full of holes, that it had it’s own set of problems, the only reason every one loves it so -Yoink!- much is because it was in Halo 2, and everyone thinks Halo 2 is the world’s best Halo game, and that it had no bugs or issues with it!

Screw trueskill, your rank should be simply calculated on your wins and losses. Just like in Halo 2.

So your major complaint is it takes too long?

I hate kids these days. Go play MW3, you can hit max rank in a week. Sounds perfect for the ADHD generation.
