I love missions in the dark night. No, I am not talking about Nightfall. I’m talking about a large battle during the middle of the night, bullets flying in the air, explosions. Its very visually appleasing and I would love for 343 to add a campaign mission like that.
I got this idea from when I was playing BF3, there is a map called “Tehran Highway” and I can just imagine it being turned into Halo-like.

I agree, I absolutely adored how half of ODST was set at night. Although Halo 4 shouldn’t be half night, there should definitely be a handful of missions and perhaps a couple of multiplayer maps that are set at night time.
Of course, the only problem with this is that we’re stuck on the inside of a shield world, which has a sun in the middle of it. Unless the sun can turn itself off (very unlikely), then I don’t think we’ll me seeing any night level in campaign. The exception to this, of course, is if we find ourselves on the outside portion of the planet.

There are 2 night pictures in the concept art I believe.
I don’t know why, but large battles set during the day feel more “epic” to me than do those set at night. I think Bungie had the right idea: set missions involving stealth, or those missions that are meant to be frightening, at night.
