Does anybody else agree with me that Halo 4 needs some sort of computer-based map creating/editing program alongside forge? Of course, people would be able to download maps made on the computer onto their Xbox. I feel like we would be able to make much larger and more complicated maps from a computer than we can on the current Xbox.
Unlikely unless they provided a kit or something to work with Halo assets to keep users from being outside objects into the environment. Even that’s unlikely.
Without the following, there is really no point to have forge, since 99% of all the content goes unnoticed, unused, and completely wasted. What we really need is:
A playlist dedicated to community made maps & gametypes. One playlist for traditional gametypes like slayer, koth, ctf, and one playlist for all the weird & wonky custom gametypes.
A streamlined process for the community to promote content into the above dedicated community playlist. With automated processes to test for basic matchmaking viability. Along with some kind of pass/fail feedback to the mapmaker, and some reasoning behind a failure so the mapmaker can fix it & re-promote.
A robust feedback system within the community playlist to help rank maps/gametypes so matchmaking can handle & prioritize the plethora of community made content, allowing the best content to filter to the top and the worst to the bottom.

No it doesn’t. there is nothing a PC can do that will run on the 360 that the 360 cannot do itself. A PC forge is just a lazy way to avoid spending time and producing a decent map editor for 360. Far cry was more than capable of making an editor on 360 that spanks halos current forge. You should remember that halo 4 is not a PC game. it is a 360 game and there is no good reason to have to outsource to a PC functions that should be on the console. Also why should halo 4 have to have another disc to run a redundant function? PC forge for a console game is a redundant function that defeats its own purpose.

I build mainly for custom games since MM is too hard to get maps in to. You have to know people.
