I don’t know about you guys but I loved the Action Sack playlist in Halo 3. I guess you can say I’m more of a casual gamer and the competitiveness of the playlists in Halo 4 is just irritating at times. I like to just mess around and not really try but I can’t do that in Halo 4. All of my attempts at playing the game casually have caused me to be killed several times and I can’t help but become upset. I just want a playlist with goofy gametypes such as Rocket Race, Team Swords and so on. I also think Forge maps need to make a comeback. They add variety to the game and keep things fresh.
Agreed! with fun Custom Game variants like:
-League of legends
-Hunger Games
-Duck Hunt
etc
Theyll probably add it as a rotational playlist though

Isnt the current attitude of 343 Social and Casual play? Im surprised they didnt have this from the get go
Action Sack= Halo Ball= Me glad I know how to grenade/crouch jump and get into the scoreboard and keep all the balls out
I remade a lava pit map that would be perfect in my opinion for the “Sack of Action”!

Even grifball was fun for some people. It used to be in the playlist… wonder what they did with it.

The current 343i is indeed about casuals. The action sack maps/modes where all made by the community. Now look at 343i current silence on the absence of many forge/FileShare options. How do you think that 343i can make a new action sack playlist of the same quality as the playlist from Halo 3/Reach without community input? Look at how Halo 4 turned out and that also was created without community input.

Whenever I’m not picking up any good games in MM, I like to hop into Action Sack for some super fun games.
Heck, I already remade Team Sumo in Halo 4.

Action Sack was a literally a pit of creativity that allowed us to go beyond the vanilla playlists and look at gametypes and maps in a more creative and innovative way.
This isn’t to say that they were perfect, infact far from it considering a lot of them were just right off the bat gametypes that were made up. Some of them worked near perfectly and others did not just like everything in Halo.
It was in Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo Reach, I can only assume if 343i will let us have more imaginable and creative fun, then let us enjoy a bit of craziness to spur our minds with even greater ideas for the future.
I think halo 4 needs it, I get tired of the competitive game types sometimes and I miss action sack a lot!
Action Sack should not only support more wacky game types but also community game modes.
Action Sack is always a nice play-list to go into and let off some steam.
I agree, I would really like a social/action sack. This would get me to start playing again since they took out my favorite playlist. Hog race is too much fun as is grifball.
As far as games went in halo reach splockets and dino blasters were my favs in action sack. These games were never about being the best, it was just hopping around blowing stuff up and it was perfect for challenges that required power weapons to be used.
Halo ball rarely came up and the ‘hockey’ variant never appeared once.
I don’t think we’ll get it though. 343 removed it from reach when it had more people playing it than other playlists which stayed. Action sack was a gift from bungie. Now that they’re gone it’s just microsoft. Don’t tell me they don’t control everything either. The best games that come out of billion dollar corporations are always made from studios they aquire. Microsoft didn’t aquire 343i.
I want Action Sack and I want it now.
One concern I have though, is 343’s pathetic lack of creativity. I’m afraid 343’s version of action sack will suck.
