The Scene Fades in to Cortana… curled up on her hallow pedestal… she is crying… and whimpering… her fighting hand has fallen… he is laying on the ground…
Cortana… not in knowing what to do… with a threat so great, and no hero to fight it… as she is laying there… thinking of the probabilities of survival… and the likely hood of winning… she begins to sob… sadness… hurt… pain… and scarce… has filled her, next to human chip… (Maybe Meta stability) she begins hearing an odd… yet memorable ticking… As she turns her crying head over to the chief, she sees nothing but his shields… blipping… and blipping… and blipping… over and over and over again… (Shield Regen Sound) soon after she hears another familiar sound… the sound of replenishment… (Health Bar Sound)
Cortana instantly turns to look at the John… fists clenched, John begins to rise from the ground
Cortana looks at him… tears… of… happiness… running down her face… she says…
Cortana: John… (Soft, and Familiar Tone…)
As the Chief Walks to words the ledge to look at Requiem… its outer Shell destroyed… he sees hundreds of forerunner Ships flying off into the distance of space… knowing exactly where they are going…
Forerunner Fighters, War Ships, Carriers… and 3 War Sphinx are heading towards a slip space portal…
Chief looks down… feeling pure, hopelessness… sadness… and faithless… he leans against the railing… looking down still…
Cortana: Chief… what are we going to do…
Chief… thinking… feeling like a lost hope… as he has lost his first battle a against a threat he was not expecting… a threat greater then the flood… more tactical then the covenant… all he feels… is faithlessness…
As he turns towards Cortana… he says…
Chief: I… don’t know…
Cortana… with a surprised look… begins to look down… as the screen fades to black…
