Extremely simple decision for me. I have bought and played every single halo game.
Halo is the only reason I bought my xbox. I play it for the competitive nature of the game. The level system is the ONLY thing that does that for me. For me, Halo Reach was a absolute bust. I liked the gameplay but it was not rewarding. Generic credits that everyone gets doesn’t do it for me. I need something that I can work towards that can go up or down depending on your skill. A skill rank that is not visible to everyone doesn’t do it for me. I need a VISIBLE skill rank in certain playlists.
So I’m going to make it simple.
If there is no visible level/ranking system in Halo 4 (preferably a hybrid between Halo 2/3) then I will NOT buy the game.
Might not be much that one active person is doing this. But there are many people that are thinking the same thing. I’ve already received multiple calls/texts from old friends that played competitively with me in Halo 2/3 that are wondering about the ranking system and they’re in the same boat as I am.
Your move 343.
I hope they bend to your wishes! couldn’t bare the thought of losing you…
No, there isn’t a visible ranking system. Have fun not buying a game just for a number.

NOOO! ALL IS LOST!
well goodbye, you’ll be missing out on a good game.
I was going to say something witty, but you’ve left me speechless and dumbfounded that something could get that worked up over a ranking system.
343i are yoinks, no visible ranks, when no myself in this crappy game! I am canceling my pre-order!/sarcasm
People, are you serious? Not buying Halo 4 only becouse of no visible ranks? Play for fun, not for this ranks!
