Halo 4 must be seperated from Halo 1/2/3

I feel that Halo 4 should not be mixed in with H1/2/3 because the games are just too different for fans of one game or the other to enjoy. I have played too many games in BTB where if Halo 2 for example will get the picked the people who want to play halo 4 will quit straight away and vice versa if Halo 4 gets picked. I think you can get away with having 1/2/3 together as they are more similar (although I would prefer to have separate playlists for each game) where as Halo 4 is like a completely different game compared to the others.

I agree I wish they all had dedicated playlists with different gametypes. (Ex Halo 3 SWAT)

I just wish people weren’t such babies and would just stay in games no matter what (not calling you out, just saying in general). They are all fun games. Just because it might not be a game you want to play, just PLAY!!!

Disagree.

For what 343 is doing right now with the playlists they need to keep H4 in BTB and SWAT, but instead implement some system that penalizes people quitting.

I personally feel they should remove H1 from Team Slayer and put in H4. H1 already has it’s very own playlist, and I personally do not like playing H1 competitively. I understand some people do so go play H1 playlist. We need to have more H4, or at least a dedicated playlist for it like you said.

I disagree, I feel that we should be entitled to play the game of our choice, we have not been able to play Halo 2 in years and when you get the chance to finally play it and then Halo 4 gets chosen its rather annoying. I know that the more playlists there are, we may have to wait a little bit longer for matches but at least then we will be able to enjoy playing the game we actually want to play.

It’s been to long, we need one already.

I don’t know man. I mean Halo 4 got it right with having each game type have it’s own individual playlist. I can’t see why each of the games shouldn’t have their own.

You know like:
Halo 4 Multiplayer -
Team Slayer
CTF
BTB
SWAT
Rumble Pit
Infection
Griffball
(etc.)

Halo 3 Multiplayer -
Team Slayer
CTF
BTB
SWAT
Rumble Pit
Infection
Griffball
Team Snipers
Double Team
(etc.)

You see what I mean? Something like that.

I disagree. If you play BTB enough then you will see the problem that its having with H4 mixed with H1/2/3, near enough every game a bunch of people will quit out because Halo 1/2/3 got picked and they want to play Halo 4. The games are just too different and people refuse to play it out. Having a quitting penalizer is not the solution, we need the games seperated into their own playlists.

I mean you hear people complain about Halo 2 Anniversary players wanting nothing but Slayer BR and they have a point. It gets boring after a while. What if I want to play CTF? See what I mean?

This is another thing, we need Slayer and Objective to have their own playlists, its tiring playing slayer 24/7 and objective games rarely getting chosen then when you finally get to play an objective match the Slayer players quit out and ruin the match.

I 100% agree with that. Maybe like a drop down system.

But idk how long that will take for them to do, if they are even going to do it.

You can play Halo 4 just fine on the 360 there is no need for loads of Halo 4 playlists other than a slayer and BTB one, Halo 1 and 2 players have no options other than to play it on MCC so there should be more playlists for these two games.

I’m not saying EVERY game should be on there. Just the more popular ones. And come on, it would work. I mean aren’t you sick of playing the same game over and over? coughH2 Anniversary Slayer BRcough

thats hows i thought it was going to be when they announced the MCC with a few cross playlists as a bonus.
I love all the halo titles, but id rather just choose what game and playlist i wanna play.
So i could choose, Halo 4, CTF or Halo 3 Team Slayer etc

Yes, population would be cut up alot, but would it matter, there will always be more than enough people in each playlist to find matches without much hassel

i think at the very least, each title should have its own playlists for
Team Slayer,
Big Team Battle
Team Objectives
Rumble/FFA

Can we stop with this ridiculous argument.
You can also go play Halo 3 just fine on the xbox 360 aswell, but its okay for Halo 3 fans to want more Halo 3 stuff in the MCC, yet when people ask for more Halo 4 stuff its “go play on the 360”…

The game is called the Master Chief Collection aswell. Not the Halo 1 and 2 collection, so all 4 titles should be treated equally. Halo 2 has already been given the Anniversary treatment with its campaign and H2A MP playlist. Other than that, this is a collection of all 4 Halo titles in the main series and should be treated equally.

Actually Halo 3 on the 360 is a complete lag fest but I never asked for any Halo 3 stuff anyway, we need more Halo 1 and 2 playlists because we cant play them on any other platform. I don’t understand your logic, why would you need 500 Halo 4 playlists on the MCC when you can play Halo 4 on HALO 4…

I agree lets make this happen.
then i may actually find a BTB match

No it isn’t i played it a couple weeks ago just fine and i wasn’t meaning you directly, i was referring to people in general on these forums.

How dont you understand? The game is a collection, of 4 games. Not a collection of 2 games. Therefor, all titles included should be treated equally, just because some of them are still playable on the last gen console shouldn’t mean they should be gimped out on.
Alot of people want to play Halo 4 (and 3 for that matter, as i already said its still perfectly playable on 360 its self) in 1080p/60fps, the 360 version doesn’t offer this
Alot of people also, sold their xbox 360s when the current gen consoles were released, therefor buying a new one for one game, that could be played in the MCC, would be pointless and a pretty big waste of money.

Sure it be nice if Halo 4 had it’s own playlist so I would never have to play that terrible game, rather stick with H1/2/3 since they have the best maps.

i bought this game solely for h2A which i LOVE.

and i must say, h4 runs great and i love it.

i can see why people dont like the perks, but o my, is big team battle fun.

especially when my friends are over. epic warthog driving sessions.

I think Halo 4 needs its own dedicated playlists, but I disagree with the notion that playlists should be separated completely. Mixed playlists are a good thing. Giving each game its own playlist that covers Team Slayer and Team Objective games is equally as important - that presents the balance of choice and randomness. There’s always going to be some randomness when a Matchmaking system is implemented. You’re always going to end up playing a handful of gametypes or maps that you dislike. That’s just the nature of this system and it has been that way since Halo 2. I can tell you right now that separating each game into its own set of playlists wouldn’t solve the problem.

Presenting a handful of dedicated game playlists and a handful of mixed playlists is definitely the best solution. It allows them to keep the number of playlists down while still ensuring that people can play a game on basically any Halo game they want in this collection. A dedicated Halo 4 playlist certainly needs to be added. Map choices in mixed playlists could ideally be reduced to simply the best maps of each respective game. Either way, they shouldn’t fix what isn’t broken.
