It just doesn’t sound like Halo.
I’m concerned.
Am I the only person?
It lacks ‘power’.

It’s okay but I think the other halos sound better but I will wait intel i heard all of the music be for I will judge completely.
It was only a sample of the track, there will be more that may or may not sound “Halo” depending on preferences and opinions. The only sample I am a bit sceptical and/or “iffy” about is the beginning music in the Composing Worlds vidoc. I just diddn’t like the dubstep sound to it since I really don’t like dubstep. On one hand, it does sound very eerie and mechanical, like it could be used for an enemy machine, on the other hand, it just diddn’t fit the more orchestral style of the Halo soundtrack.
are you joking??
It sounds great. right at 1:36. power my friend.

I never said it wasn’t powerful or that it was bad in general, I only said I hated the dubstepy sound to it because I’m not too fond of dubstep. If it can retain it’s orchestral style and sound metalic, evil, and powerful at the same time, I may love it, until then, I only care that it’s Halo music.
I think it strikes the perfect balance between reminiscent melodies from the older games and innovative sound effects with a more cinematic quality. We are definitely going to be playing a new Halo game that tells its own story, with a little nostalgia here and there. That’s the impression I get from listening to it.
I’m more excited about the soundtrack than the gameplay so far.
Marty had placed a mystical feel to the Halo music, Neil however is putting a more powerful and dark effect on the Halo 4 music. It fits well with Halo 4: Darkness, Exploration, and Heroism. Halo’s 1-3 were Mystical, Worship, and Heroism hence the monks chanting. Whatever it may be Im looking forward to what Neil has to offer us fans, whether it will be nostalgic or pure epicness Im excited to play Halo 4 evermore
