HALO 4 MULTPLAYER BETA WHY 343 NEEDS IT!

Many fans are a bit wary of 343 taking control of halo. I for one am scared they may screw it up, but i am also excited and wish for 343 to make one bad–Yoink- multiplayer. Most everyone plays halo for the multiplayer whether its firefight or competitive its the reason for playing.

343 and the community need halo 4’s multiplayer to run at its best at launch. As with past halo games and MANY other games have shown a beta can be the most important feedback on a game as well as real world and real time testing to both the gameplay and networking. We need this game to not have bad lag and networking bugs, we need the exploits taken care of before ship, and we need as much polish to the game as it can get.

Things gained/fixed: polishing the networking of the game, bugs/exploits, spawn points, gametypes, overall better gameplay via feedback from the community, And marketing the game to get players hooked to an awesome game.

I know there are many things that can benefit form a beta and i want to hear what everyone things whether its in favor or not for a beta and why it would be good or bad.

I want this game to make game of the year 2012!
Please 343 give us and yourselves a beta!

-ps sorry if my grammar is infuriating.

I would like a Beta, but the hype that was built up since the Teaser (Or Halo 3 Legendary Ending) would make this game NOT exciting at launch because you’ve seen enough. Although, 343 has been working on this game since 2009 and I’m pretty confident that they are thoroughly testing the game.

If there is a problem with the game after launch, they can go ahead and push out a update. HOWEVER, I do not expect 2-5 updates after It’s release because this would prove that this game is NOT finished.

The trailer and the ending of halo 3 only is addressing the campaign storyline though. I don’t think multiplayer would take away for spoil any of the campaign. Also i think the beta would be very limited as to weapons maps and armor as to not give it all away and keep it fresh for release.

i am not worried about 343 i think halo 4 will be a amazing game and destroy the competition and win game of the year Aaron greenberg some guy that works at microsof also thinks halo 4 will win game of the year now about the beta thing there probably will be a halo 4 beta but we might not see one for a few months

Ah, I see your point. Probably they should keep the known weapons and have the ‘NEW’ weapons in the full game. And maybe two or three MP maps should be good for the Beta.

Yeah they should have one. Its good marketing, it also give the community an oppertunity to speak their minds on the new stuff, settings they will be adding. Like how Bungie increased the jumping eight and running speed in the reach beta

I don’t see why they won’t have one. It might not be for a few months, but they’ve beta tested most of the previous Halo games.

> I don’t see why they won’t have one. It might not be for a few months, but they’ve beta tested most of the previous Halo games.

I honestly don’t see why they would not come out with a beta but then again that’s one of the reasons i posted. Maybe someone knows why they might not. Im curious to see what people think.

They could say that it waste’s time and money, but then my reply to that would be that it’d be totally worth the investment of time and money put in to the beta for that much of a better product.

But i mean what could top exec’s say about not wanting to put out a beta? Doesn’t the good out weigh the bad?

343i knows what is best for Halo, and I am sure they will have a beta for HALO 4. hopefully it is a public one so we can dowload it, not like halo 3’s

When I played the Reach beta I had a huge sense of enjoyment and I felt like I was part of something huge.
When Reach came out, I didn’t get that feeling at all.

I think Halo 4 SHOULD have a beta, but should keep many other things under wraps till launch.

i think it should have a beta because it would get people used to what 343 can really do and this is halo 4 a new trilogy so some people might be nervous about a new halo triligy

If they have a chance I think a beta would be good. I’d rather it didn’t end up like CoD where there is a new game balancing update every 2 months.

hopefully its not public…
Public betas r a horrible solution for testing.
This public betas these days are not betas anymore. Its called a demo. Reach was the best example of that.
If u want a REAL beta, than get into an alpha test

I herd somewhere that Mircosoft was trying a new type of marketing for halo 4 so mabey this new type of marketing is realising very small amounts of info keeping the fans anxious and wanting every little bit of info they can get

Except that is stupid because I haven’t mentioned a word to any of my friends about Halo 4 because there’s nothing to talk about. Whereas ME3 has done their marketing masterfully, keeping people hooked along the way with a bit here, a bit there, some gameplay footage, some trailers, more gameplay footage, more trailers, and finally a month long demo with two campaign levels and two multiplayer maps.

If Halo 4 had a multiplayer beta, and closer to release had a multiplayer demo… that would be pretty good.

yes I agree. but only with familiar weapons vehicles and characters (Spartans) and 1 or 2 maps.

but a beta for mw3? come on every year they come out with another game thats pretty much the same thing, of corse they could get away with showing off lots of stuff because we have all see it before.

I’m not talking about Modern Warfare I’m talking about Mass Effect >.<

Jeez… I’m assuming you haven’t played ME then if you don’t recognize the initials? Log off this forum, go to gamestop, and buy ME2.

If you didn’t even know what Mass Effect was, you don’t know that you don’t want it. Go, buy ME2. I’m serious. I think out of all the people I know who play games, the only ones who haven’t played ME2 are COD fanboys. I mean, if you’re a COD fanboy, that’s fine, there’s nothing wrong with it. Just saying though, if you’re a fan of good games, you should play ME2.
