I find that the custom loadouts is what made Halo 4 feel a tad bit more broken than the other games. It would’ve been more fun if they were restricted only to social playlists but hey, that’s just my 2 cents.
Anyway when playing Halo 4 I quite liked the movement speed, time to kill and overall feel of gameplay. It wasn’t too heavy and slow (kind of like Halo 3) yet it wasn’t so feathery and drug fueled, high speed cluster that Halo 5 is.
When playing without custom loadouts and kill streak esq drugs, Halo 4 felt a lot more like Halo and didn’t seem too bad at all. It felt like a smoother version of Reach.
Now I’m sure this is bound to make a few people rage but I’m eager to know if anyone else thinks the same thing as I.

You know, I’m with you on this, but I’ve grown too fond of Halo 5’s thrusters.

I agree that they did well with the pacing, at least in multiplayer. Some of the campaign feels rather off, but that’s a different matter. However, the custom loadouts can bring a nice variety to the weapons we see, which is always nice. I don’t want to be fighting assault rifles and dmrs all the time.
My 1st loadout consists of having an Assault Rifle, Magnum, Frag., Camo, Resistor and Ammo and is called “Standard”.
My 2nd loadout consists of having a Battle Rifle, Assault Rifle, Frag., Hardlight Shield, Firepower and Ammo and is called “Halo 3 Start”. It’s like Slayer BRs.
My 3rd loadout consists of having a DMR, Assault Rifle, Frag., Jetpack, Firepower and Ammo and is called “Halo Reach”. It’s like Slayer DMRs.
These we’re entirely made up by me.
Remember, in a custom game, set loadouts to Game’s loadouts (Or something like that, instead of Personal loadouts) and make one of these I made. That way, it’s like classic Halo (With sprint)
In case you we’re wondering:
My 4th loadout is a custom one. It can be a fun loadout or a challenge loadout, anything.
My 5th loadout was taken from an OLD video of Wangtime (Not Ultimate Halo anymore, but the channel still exists). The video is “Top 5 Loadouts every Spartan should have”. And this 5th loadout is very useful to me. It consists of a Carbine, Plasma Pistol, Sticky, Jetpack, Whellman and survivor. It’s kinda a driver’s loadout. It’s called “Whellman”.

I preferred them in Halo 4 when it was more like evade. It went further and didn’t make the player feel so light.
