Okay, so after watching the Halo 4 Vidoc I’m just wondering, why are they making Crysis 3? this doesn’t sound like the Halo multiplayer at all, why don’t you build it off of the Halo 3 multiplayer where it had a good balance instead of having a “progression system” where you didn’t give other players the upper hand for being a higher rank, the old Halo 3 ranking system was fine there was nothing wrong with it. And sprint, when your shooting someone and they’re about to die they shouldn’t just be able to sprint away at the last second, they made the decision to get locked in combat with you they shouldn’t be able to run away in fear that they’ll die they should suffer the consequences for shooting back. Is there much need for a “Class System” again? And can you please put in “Dual Wielding.” In Halo 2 everyone was pretty excited for dual wielding and why can’t we do it in this one? What makes the spartan 4’s so different to the point where they can’t do something a spartan 2 couldn’t do? I grew up playing Halo and I don’t like seeing it get destroyed after every new title is released, just bring it back to its roots.
I approve of this message.
343 smh…
I agree, for the most part.
The progression system in particular is tragic news. I feel like with Reach, Bungie was taking Halo in a bold new direction that was separate from every shooter on the market, and now 343 is just reeling it back in. Reach’s progression was so brilliant because it had ZERO impact on gameplay. Ranking up was rewarding and motivating, but it didn’t make any difference whatsoever at the end of the day. Why would you ever want to reward the people who’ve been playing longer, and punish new players who enter the scene? Take a look around the comment scene on any gaming blog - the most popular comments are the ones that suggest this type of progression is a bad idea for Halo.
I’m beyond bothered: I’m offended, as a fan of Halo, that this is what 343 thinks Halo players want.

u dumb kid?
Halo3 had the perfect rank system. you could still rank up. but took (True Skill) to get to certain ranks. reaches ranking system failed because halo is a competitive game. and they jsut took the competitiveness out of it… people who strive to be better/ or better deserve to be rewarded and let them know there not like every other noob. 343 don’t make a -Yoink- noob friendly game for 12 year old’s… because ur game will fail just like reach.
Disagree with you Glaced. I have been playing Halo since it’s original release. People who play longer should not be rewarded with better items/perks. Ever. It should be an even playing field across the board. Reach nailed incentive with Armor unlocks, and I think there could be even more added. By adding upper-hand perks to veteran players is -Yoink-. If they do it, I’ll be pissed. That’s all.

I support your opinion and his both, but please don’t call someone dumb for sharing their own opinion. Also don’t call someone dumb if you’re not going to have correct spelling.
Hey uhm have any of you… played Halo 4?
How much do you know about the game?
I thought so…
You don’t know the progression system will instantly take away all skill, you don’t know anything about it!
It might start you of with a plasma rifle/pistol instead of an assault rifle/magnum, it’s probably all upp to your preference.
Also if someone has sprint, you can have it too so if you really care about skill, don’t complain about having to run after them to get the kill, if you can’t do that you probably aren’t that skilled, in a battlefield you have to be prepared for everything and running for your own life is a valid action.
I admit that dual weilding was fun, but it was removed for a reson, it was incredibly over powered and gave the less skilled players a huge chance for succes, and since you complain so much about 343 removing the need for skill, this should be good for you.
I approve of this message. Please dont kill HALO … wTF sprint ? im not buying h4 then
You called me unskilled, good for you.

Sorry but the whole aspect of what got me playing Halo was its Arena style gameplay. Having to fight for your weapons in battle is what makes Halo’s Multi-player what it is, having any gun you want just handed to you is not a fair way to play. Lets set an example, Jon is a level 35 he has unlocked a BR with a damage bonus perk; Then here is Bill, Bill is only a level 20 he only has the AR unlocked with no perks. Seems like Jon is going to have no much of advantage over Bill, but wait Bill got a kill against Jon! Maybe Bill might have a chance in this battle but no Jon has re-spawned with the same exact gun and everything! Its not much fun when someone has the advantage the whole game.

Oh hey, you couldn’t counter one of my arguments, which pretty much cover all of yours, good for you!

And you know this is how it is?
Say, what if we can choose to spawn with a few different rifles and pistols but the more powerfull weapons were still spread around the map, and even max levels can’t spawn with them, that wouldn’t be unbalanced and still keep the fighting for the good weapons.

You missed my point entirely. We actually agree - we like Halo 3 and Reach because their progression doesn’t give anyone an inherent advantage over other players. Everyone starts the match with the same opportunities to win - the best players will win with their skill alone, not because they spawn with a better gun or take advantage of some cheap bonus ability.
Calling me a kid after your impressive showing of reading comprehension is beyond silly. You shouldn’t act like that to anyone, especially people you agree with.

Well its not going to help at all when they have everything you have and more. Giving other players the advantage just because they went up a rank is not fair. If I wanted to play future CoD id play Crysis 2. This is a mockery of what Halo’s multi-player was built upon.
