Halo 4 MP Wishlist Thread

I would like to have

  • a four shot BR as in Halo 3.
  • neither abilities nor equipment.
  • symmetrical Maps which encourage Bumper Jumper.
  • movement traits as in Halo 3.
  • four player theater.
  • a smooth menu with navigation possible during player search as in Reach.
  • customizable controller layouts (at least for the colored buttons and the bumpers).
  • partly destructible environments for a fresh experience.

I mean, the game is still a year away and the most often mentioned features could be taken into account …

And I like asymetrical maps provided they’re balanced (unlike lolbase).

I love the Bubble Shield, it is just too slow to built up. Anything else doesn’t make much of a difference. I just remember in Team Doubles on Isolation that one team would always go for Regen and whenever encountered were covered in green mist and the Power Drain is just unfair since you can’t see someone having it but getting your shield down immediately, maybe denying you the kill of the carrier. I mean what way is there to implement something new into the Halo franchise if not some kind of ability? But I don’t like that, it is too much of unpredictable and more a surprise, like a Joker in cards. I like AC and OS as pickups though. But that is with 3min respawn and limited duration! Though the Power Drain is beautiful against Warthogs and Regen provides some kind of a safe zone against Vehicles …

Ghost hijack was a new feature, assassinations are a new feature and accepted.

I am not against new features (though no Dual Wield please), but I like CE circumstances with Halo 2 movement and Halo 3 gameplay (Halo 3 maps were the best: Construct, Guardian, Valhalla, etc.) and Reach animations and arsenal, roughly.

i would agree although i would make a few tweaks

  1. 4 shot weapon but NOT burst fire…Single shot weapons have a higher skill gap than burst.

  2. remove AAs and Equipment but bring back straight Camo and OS pickups

  3. Either weaken nades or increase fuse time

  4. make sniper hard to use again

  5. either remove assassinations or make them harder to pull off

  6. further development of new competitive gametypes

  7. a healthy amount of arena maps that promote fast gameplay and support a wide array of gametypes

  8. map editor/creator (long shot)

  9. increase AR and pistol clip size

  10. change nade physics back to Halo2/3…i hate feeling like im throwing a bean bag

  11. less magnetism and aim acceleration

  12. tighter and quicker movement and strafe speed/accel

  13. higher jump height and no fall damage.

  14. Party theatre mode

It already is hard to use, aim assist completely screws up what you try to do. I hate that magnet-like effect of my crosshairs automatically following someone, I want to be in control of where I aim.

Why? It still requires you to be behind an enemy, just like when you melee and receive the medal with the ninja face. If anything, it’s already risky enough because you have to hope someone doesn’t Showstopper you, or at least open fire on you in the middle of the act.

…sorry about that. Not that’s out of my system, I guess it’s logical argument time…

3 shot burst means for maximum effect you have to point the reticle at the enemy then keep the reticle on the moving player during the entire burst. Whilst single shot just requires you to point the reticle at the enemy and shoot.

Just my opinion…

NO HEALTHPACKS! NO LOADOUTS. They are worthless in MP and a waste of code and time.

Have health/shield recharge like in H3. Find more poweful weapons and equipment not be given them.

A victor in a battle should be able to rest and recharge w/o running around wounded…or looking for a healthpack…

The Loadouts in Reach cause more trouble than their worth.

  1. 10 years passed, Bungie never give us in-game Map overlook feature, just like that in Gears of War 3.

Noobs/Casual gamers don’t know or can’t remember the layout of heavy weapons on dozens of maps. 343 should add the API feature, show us the layout of all the weapons on the map - in the lobby or via other in-game ways. Don’t tell me checking the layout in Forge, it’s stupid and waste of time to do it on custom/Forge MM maps.

  1. Use long-term K/D ratio to search and match players even in Social Slayer playlists.

As for Halo: Reach, a team with K/D 2.x vs another team with avg K/D 0.8 or lower. Do you think the battle is full of fun?

  1. One player quit the game, please put in another one to the team with 10 seconds for Social Slayer playlists. We don’t care your MM Evaluation Mechanisms, we just want a fair and intensive game, not the fu!!ck!!ng 10 minutes.
