War games is the new name for online multiplayer. Slayer is a playlist located within war games.
War Games is the new name for Multiplayer, it will be on a second disc to my knowledge, so it will be a little something like this.
Load up Second Disc, title screen says Halo 4: War Games
Main Menu Options:
Matchmaking
Custom Games
Forge
Theater
War Games = Matchmaking.
Slayer is just a gametype. Custom Games will be there too.

Not really.
Infinity Slayer is a new variant of Slayer, like SWAT was.
In Infinity Slayer, the teams are just like regular Slayer. Except on the left side of the screen there is a small meter. The more medals you get (kills, assists, etc) the more this meter fills. Once the meter is filled, you have 3 choices from your D-Pad. Grenade resupply, a powerup, or a power weapon. These choices are randomly chosen each time you aquire personal ordinance.
That is Infinity Slayer. There is a regular slayer, which is like past Slayers except for the inclusion of loadouts and the things that go along with them.
Each variant is available to be played and edited in custom games.
