I was wondering what kind of maps Halo 4 will have for custom games, forge and matchmaking. Maybe alot of Forerunner maps. I was thinking that would be the case since MC will be on a Forerunner planet the whole game most likely, (or atleast thats what I think). All the maps come from the Campaign, Reach was good because you fought in diverse places, not just all buildings. So im curious to see what the maps will be like.

Well, it’s supposed were on a Forerunner planet so I suppose most if not all maps will be Forerunner origin.
A variety of map’s would be great, maybe different styles of architecture? i know the game take’s place more or less in a Forerunner environment but i dont see why multiplayer should not have human style’s such as the Pit for example.
Other than in-game map’s i would love to see colour scheme’s and/or skin’s for Forge 3.0.

I would love if a map like avalanche came back, but with a few spots of grass here and there. Anyways, the maps should be more like how they were in Halo 3, more colorful, more vivid, Halo Reach Maps (especially forge maps) lacked in color to me. I’m tired of silver/grey and grass. The other maps had colors, but very dark ones and were to dim for my liking.
I would like to see both, I have one stipulation though. Don’t pull the maps directly from the campaign.
I would like to see both. I also would enjoy maps like foundry, and sandbox return. By this I mean forge maps that have its own style for forge pieces to use.
i would like to see Blood Gulch and Sidewinder as remakes. same terrain basically (blood gulch maintaining its orange dirt ridden canyon-ness and sidewinder maintaining its snowy terrain) but instead of the Halo Ring being in the backround in the sky, there will be forerrunner type objects floating around or whatever its gonna be like on the planet that Halo 4 is gonna take place. other than those 2 remakes, i dont really care what they do with the MM maps, as long as they arent anything from campaign and they are the maps that go back to the roots (2 bases, one blue one red, on the opposite sides of the map). i also think that the forge maps shouldnt be like forge world anymore, unless there is an environment/weather changing option (like raining, snowing, thunder, lightning etc) and time change option (dawn, dusk, night, day etc). that would be really fun and cool
Are you serious? Does Forge World ring a bell? Almost all of the building blocks, structures and decoration pieces you could forge with were Forerunner. Plus in just about every map there are bits of Forerunner tech. Tempest is the only full Forerunner map i’m pretty sure. I want to see more maps like Tempest, and Ridgeline for that matter. I like the open wooded areas. And the Forerunner tech are a nice touch to the battlefield on both.
Oh and speaking of Valhala, would’nt it be cool if 343i made a map pack with a few of the most popular Halo 3 maps?

What do you mean by “forerunner” maps?
if you mean…well forerunner -themed maps, with some cool looking tech here and there, with pretty grasslands, and peaceful lakes, Then YES
if you mean Grey and Clay like Reach, then NO
Whatever they do, the majority of the maps should be symmetrical.
A variety. True this is the forerunner saga, so there should be a good amount of forerunner maps, but if most if not all maps are forerunner, it’s going to get boring quick. A variety of snow, forest, human, covy, etc. would be best IMO.
Just because they are Forerunner maps doesn’t mean they all have to be mostly metal. As long as they have things in them that look Forerunner and its in the shield world it should be fine.
