halo 4 menu

i heard a few people talking about halo 4 menus i think a sweet one would be you physicaly in first person in a unsc base a room for the armory to select your armor colors emblem fire fight voice etc then you walk over to a briefing room with info on missions etc and start campaign then a pelican in a hanger with odsts loading it up and thats firefight have a room with reds and blues trash talking and thats multiplayer and someting along those lines for every menu

No. Keep it simple. It’s a menu.

Tho I do like the environment of the menu in your idea, it’s a menu and it should be keep simple, something like what you suggesting would be better used in a DVD menu, not a game menu.

Fable III tried something similar…people hated it

BLUE BACKROUND!!!

We should have the Gran Turismo 5 menus… lol, jk :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

But seriously though, just make the menus as simple as possible where I can go from point A to point B quick. I really don’t want to cycle through all this crap just to find out how to adjust the brightness or something.

I liked it in Fable III, but then again that is a third person RPG (known for silly) WITH JOHN -Yoinking!- CLEESE telling you what the “menu” room does.
That is great.

A first person menu in Halo… not so much.
Keep it Halo 3ish I say.

I like your idea. Sounds like how you play the lego games and then you can explore a central hub. A shooting range would be good as well so that you could improve your aim

I think Halo 4 should have the Reach menu design. Seriously, it was smooth and slick and everything was organized accordingly.

Thank you !

I think it would be kinda cool if the did what Black OPS did. You were in the chair in front of the TV which is the menu. You are able to look around the room. If you broke out of the chair you can walk around the room. When you press “A” on the hair you get back in it. Halo 4 could do something like it.

You inside the cryo chamber. Cortana can be the menu. You’re able to look around the room inside the chamber. To get out of it. You hold both triggers the Master Chief opens the door. You get out, and are able to walk, or float around the room. When you press" X" on the chamber you would get back in it.

Indeed. It’s undoubtedly a cool novelty, but that’s all it is. Once the “coolness” of it all wears off it’s a pain in the -Yoink-.

Lets take the best parts of previous menus and work with that. Have the menu selections static and in one place. Keep them in list format. The only thing that should move is the background. Don’t have an action heavy background but rather a slow moving camera sweeping over a landscape that slowly changes.

Halo 2 had a far superior color scheme based around a light blue. Reach is very bland and less attractive compared to it.

> BLUE BACKROUND!!!

BUT, an option to remove the Blue. I tell you, Halo 2’s menu would of looked GREAT if you could remove the blue and have it’s original colour.

I’m only talking about the LAYOUT, in this regard Reach’s menu blows Halo 2’s menu out of the water.

Halo 2 had a nice layout. The blue color was very attractive as well. The slow moving background and the beautiful music complimented each other.

Reach’s menu is just a couple of boxes with text in them pasted on top of a picture with some rather substandard music playing.
