There are a fair amount of forums dedicated to this problem, dating as far back as a year ago. To recount, when selecting any spartan ops mission the game immediately crashes. It seems to be a problem with account syncing. There were hopes that this would be patched with the recent Halo 4 update which went live today, but the problem persists. Just wanted to keep this ball up in the air in the hopes that 343 will catch it and finally (please) fix the issue.

No, this is a problem with a lot of people’s games, I and many others are still having this problem, thus making it a problem with the game itself. As OP mentioned there are forums going back to over a year ago talking about this problem. I have personally sent a message to Halo Support already about it. As an added note, this problem also persists on the PC version of the game.
